Tuesday, April 28, 2009. I stopped by HB Woodlawn in Arlington today to check in on the kids I taught last quarter. We'd done a series of classes on songwriting under the umbrella of creative writing, and I really had a ton of fun with it / them. Learned a lot myself, and I think / hope they did, too. Thursday, June 4, 2009. We had some crazy rain here in DC last night. Flash floods everywhere. It's crazy how scary and destructive water can be. On a totally unrelated note, I forget that this time of year is so great for sports watching. I guess it depends on your team, but, with the Penguins in the Stanley Cup and Roger Federer competing in the last rounds of the French, it is a hard time to beat for me. Football Sundays are always the best, but, I'm enjoying these matchups right now.
