Sunday, August 4, 2013. Ins and Outs, Ups and Downs and All Arounds. The last 2 weeks have been full of so many great things, but also some not so great things. I got Mende marks! I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess that none of you know what that means. They are small black marks given to you by an “herbalist”, kinda witchdoctor stuff. He makes small cuts in your skin with a razor (don’t worry I bought a new one) then rubs herbs and ash in to the cut. I had site visit the week before last.

Monday, June 24, 2013. Pre-Wedding run at W&L. Doremus Gymnasium at W&L. The day before our wedding I was able to sneak out for a quick solo run around Lexington. I was lucky enough to get a perfect running day. It was cool, breezy, and beautiful. So pretty in fact the clouds stopped me in my tracks a few times. I only did 2.5 miles, but hey, it's better than nothing! Here we are in the car on our way down to Lexington for our wedding! Lola, the wedding-mobile. One of my favorite exits, Lexington, VA.
