Emily's Eccentricities: August 2013
http://emilyseccentrivities.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 13, 2013. There's A Bright Side. Coming back to Cedar has been a bumpy transition, but there was this moment tonight-this moment where I was surrounded by people I love, looking at a perfect starry sky during a meteor shower, feeling the warmth of a fire, and listening to one of my favorite voices sing an original song-at that moment I felt more peace than I have in a long, long time. And I knew Cedar was exactly where I was suppossed to be. Posted by Emily Burt. Sunday, August 4, 2013.

Emily's Eccentricities: December 2011

Thursday, December 22, 2011. In all practicality, my annoyance with Twitter is the character limit on tweets.I figure if I've got something. I want the freedom to say it how I want, rather than abridging it to fit their format. You're really going to take then time out of your life to complain about how social media limits you? Are you kidding me? Governments have been overthrown by the use of social media! Have you heard of North Korea? Posted by Emily Burt. Sunday, December 11, 2011. The Mr. won't ...

Sunday, May 27, 2012. I don't but I heard this song from the winner as my roommate was watching it. I feel like if the Lord was going to write me a song right now about Montana, it would be this one. Its definitely on repeat all the time in my life. I'm gonna make friends, I'm gonna love it here, and I will meet people that need me in their life and vice versa. Posted by Emily Burt. Tuesday, February 5, 2013. The Happy Secret To Better Work. Two blogs in two days, it's a record for me, I know. But I LOVE this so much. My boss shared this in our staff meeting today. It's 12 minutes, but the best dang 12 minutes you'll spend this lovely afternoon. Posted by Emily Burt. Monday, February 4, 2013. No I don't have cable and don't know anyone in Flag well enough to invite myself over. But you better believe I youtubed all the commercials. Just in case you're wondering, this was my favorite.

Emily's Eccentricities: December 2013
http://emilyseccentrivities.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 5, 2013. I am officially twenty six years old and it was the most wonderful birthday. Nothing big or spectacular happened but it was all the little things that reminded me that that is what life is all about, and now I would like to share them with you. Last night we got 13 inches of snow and while most people were groaning I loved the winter wonderland. My morning meeting was cancelled.so I got to sleep in. Fountain drinks on campus, because I'm a Diet Coke addict, were 25% percent off.

Emily's Eccentricities: October 2012
http://emilyseccentrivities.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 9, 2012. I don’t know if I would ever go as far as Steinbeck but over the last six months I have learned to respect and admire Montana. Who wants Steinbeck as there spokesperson anyways? I’m sure if I were the kind of person who enjoyed strapping on a backpack and wandering through the wilderness for a week that I might find that love. It really is beautiful. And I’ve met a few good friends that I’ll miss. That’s right, miss. Did you catch that? Posted by Emily Burt. Day 18 and 19.

Emily's Eccentricities: SUU Round Two

Sunday, August 4, 2013. Then as the night was coming to a close. I saw Provost Brad Cook, and not knowing that I was in Cedar for a job interview he asked "what do we have to do to get you back on campus? If you make the sacrifice now to get your Master's degree you will never regret it.". And as he said that, the still small voice inside my soul said "amen.". Of course not. But The Lord works in mysterious ways. Posted by Emily Burt. August 13, 2013 at 5:01 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Called...

Emily's Eccentricities: #braveEmily
http://emilyseccentrivities.blogspot.com/2013/06/braveemily.html
Friday, June 7, 2013. We napped, we played, we read, we went shopping, and we napped some more. Basically it was a dream come true. I told myself that I didn't need to worry about real life, about finding a job or making a plan, till his mom was out of school for the summer and they didn't need me anymore. Well his mom has been out of school for a week and real life has set in! What if neither of these interviews pan out and no one wants to hire me? Then I read the adventure of one #braveKatie. Tuesday, December 4, 2012. Inspired me a few years ago to write a Thanksgiving blog but this Thanksgiving I was out of commission so here I am, late. Any teacher I’ve ever had would not be surprised by this. But this past year I’ve had so much to be grateful for. Substitute Teaching- Did I enjoy it? Heck no. But a part of me always wanted to be a teacher and my stint as a sub made sure that I will never regret not taking that path. Laurel Udy- Don’t know her? Michelle Erb- She gives the best advice and I...
