Tuesday, February 9, 2010. Day 4 and Aftermath. I was very surprised to see how much force it took to stop the New York Draft Riots. If it was the rioter's mission to be heard; surely they reached their goal. Perhaps it was the communal events that brought the citizens of New York together (like Archbishop John Hughes's. If Lincoln did end up declaring martial law for New York during the riots, would the riots have ended sooner? Would there have been less violence, or more violence? Day 4 and Aftermath.
