Lauren Goes Explorin – Scratching my travel map one country at a time
Scratching my travel map one country at a time. On Day 15 – Soggy Duck. On Day 16 – Getting lost and enjoying the local flavor. On Day 15 – Soggy Duck. On Day 15 – Soggy Duck. On Day 10 – Rome Day 1. I rejoined the group shortly before dinner, which was cauliflower soup, steak with onions, vegetables and rice. The steak was delicious, well flavored and well cooked. It definitely helped getting me back to a good place. I am not sure the rest of the group enjoyed our singing as much, but it was worth it!

Beating the mean reds, one blog at a time. Monday, October 17, 2011. How I Met Your Mother. I am in love with this romantic, funny, and addicting show for a number of reasons, but here is my top. 10 The Bro code. 9 When they make fun of Canada. 8 Barney's awesome suits. 7 Their booth at McClarans. I want to have a bar and be a "regular" like them. 6 Marshall and Lily. They are the cutest couple ever. Yes it is almost nauseating but it is also adorable. 5 Their amazing apartments in the fabulous NYC.

Friday, July 27, 2012. And roots for the home team. Phew, TGIF. I'm so happy to be relaxing at home, watching the opening ceremonies of the Olympics - can't wait for the swimming and gymnastics. I am the pretty much the farthest thing from an athlete, and these people amaze me with their strength and abilities. Hope you all have lovely weekends, and go USA! PS these pictures have nothing to do with what I wrote above, it's just what I wore today. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follow me by email:.

Lauren Goes to Italy
Lauren Goes to Italy. June 10th, 2008. This weekend, I went to not one, but two Italian cities! Here’s the obligatory photo of the leaning tower of Pisa:. I think this picture looks like it could be on a postcard- the weather was so beautiful when I took it! But as the next photo shows, the weather was pretty variable that day:. Yes, it really does lean that far! But right now, the tower is safe, even to walk around inside of. We saw tourists going all the way up to the top! A lot of people were tired, a...

Lauren Goes To Africa
Lauren Goes To Africa. See where people are reading from! Tuesday, July 20, 2010. African women are tough! If I had to choose one word to describe the Kenyan women in general, it would definitely be "tough.". After light prodding, they conceded that yes indeed they all have two very good hands that are capable of doing laundry and dishes. We agreed that it is only fair to share the workload, and there are a lot more dishes than fences that need fixing! Occasionally small comments throw me off a bit, such...

Lauren's Adventures in Germany. Just another WordPress.com site. The Parental Units Come to Deutschland! April 17, 2011. As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, my lovely parents were able to fly all the way out here and visit me in Munich! I rushed out to the airport and picked them up, greeting them with water, brez’n and tulips! Ed, which made me laugh, but I also know if they tried to switch, they would have killed each other trying to get out of bed on the wrong side or rolled right off the edge.

Lauren goes to 'Nam | Just another WordPress.com site
Lauren goes to 'Nam. Just another WordPress.com site. Good morning, Vietnam. Now, back to bed. February 3, 2011. I spent the last ten days traveling around Cambodia. Cambodia is a beautiful country with a fascinating, tragic history. Some highlights were the temples of Angkor, the beaches of Sihanoukville, and the colonial charm of Phnom Penh. The thing I enjoyed the most, however, was the ability to sleep in. Neighbors’ roosters start crowing. Given the incredible population density here and t...Constru...

This is Paris, and I'm an American who lives here". Monday, June 15, 2009. Foux Du Fafa (I will not study). It perfectly captures how living here is frequently ridiculous, and always amusing. Enjoy! Wednesday, June 3, 2009. Voyeurism encouraged (pelouse interdite). And pronto. He did, however, explain that there was a small strip of pelouse autorisee. That's right, authorized pelouse. Surrouned on both sides by empty, forbidden pelouse. After finishing an obscene amount of work over the past month, I fin...

Joe's Cancer Battle
Sunday, May 10, 2009. Thursday, April 23, 2009. Start of Cycle 2. On Sunday, Bill put together a BBQ at my house and all of Joe's friends came. It was amazing to see him function like he had not been in the hospital all week. It was another time when Joe could forget he was sick and be a normal person. He even drank some beer! Monday, April 13, 2009. Chemo Day 7 - FUCK CANCER. I had to wait in a fucking emergency room reception line! Things I have learned from today:. Monday, April 6, 2009. Day 6 of Chemo.
