I'm always pushing to be better, do better, work harder, live fuller. None of which is a bad thing. That is until I set the bar so high that I never stop pushing long enough to enjoy the fruits of my labor. So I'm trying practicing just 80% this week. Nothing's better to fill up with than a big bowl of steaming hot chili. Try my favorite recipe below on any day. One shallot - minced. 1 clove garlic - minced. 2 pounds ground turkey. 3 cans chili beans with sauce. 2 cans stewed tomatoes or 3 Roma tomatoes cubed. 3 tbs chili powder. 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon plus a dash more. 4 to 5 healthy dashes of hot sauce.

As evident by my lack of use in the electronic pen, I have found that the past month has flown by like a balloon running out of air (and I too am feeling a bit like one myself). Too many things “to do” and pressures of deadlines has syphoned my creativity and turned the right side of my brain somewhat moldy. So, to all my loyal readers – all 12 of you – my apologies for the dead air. And it’s good to be back.
