Microtia, Atresia, and Goldenhar's Blog. Friday, May 14, 2010. Lauren came out of surgery around noon. She was in for about 5 hours. It took a little longer than expected but she is just waking up now in recovery. Once she can show she can take in fluids, she will be released to go back to the hotel. She was a bit grumpy for a few hours after surgery, which seems to always happen each time she starts coming out of the anesthesia.
