Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Today Jonah turned 11! He told me he had the best birthday ever! I am so glad he enjoyed his big day. He got donuts for breakfast, McDonalds for lunch, and Celestinos for dinner! All his requests.obviously! He got all the "food" presents he asked for, all the toys he really wanted, and a few surprises too! Food presents you ask? Well Pop Tarts, Watermelon, gum, Haribo gummy bears, and Gobstoppers were all on his list this year. Yes, we got him all that junk food! Way to go Jo!

We picked the WORST week ever! It was over 100 every day and somehow even hotter inside the empty pool. The day after we filled it again, the temperature dropped something like 15 degrees! Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Today was Hannah's departure day for the MTC. Is it fair to say that is was the best of times; it was the worst of times? We are so THRILLED absolutely filled with joy that she will be serving the people of Canada for the next 18 months. However, it did not make saying goodbye easy. Any guesses where she going? Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Bree has had this throwing up problem for quite a while. She throws up 4-5 times a week and we have been in the process of trying to find out what the heck is going on. After many doctor visits and medications the specialist finally recommended doing an EGD. It is a simple scope and no big deal.BUT I WAS FREAKING OUT! Mostly because the surgery was scheduled for two in the afternoon and she wasn't allowed to EAT! You know she is TWO right? We had frozen gadorade and soda:).

Inspiration about writing drawn from the Middle Ages. February 15, 2013. Today we think of owls as symbols of wisdom, but during the Middle Ages owls were considered bad omens, sinister because of their nocturnal habits. Some people even supposed owls flew backwards, according to the British Library’s blog article, Bad New Birds. Inspired by the illuminations and text in that article, I wrote the following passage for my novel, showing how one of the villains associates herself with the owl.
