Too Little Information - Jans Box of Sox

Jans Box of Sox. Hi everybody. I got a special request to stick this bit of silliness on my blog wall. It’s a piece I wrote for and read at last month’s 5 Minutes of Fame. It’s about my hearing loss. Okay, here goes…. The eyes are the windows to the soul. Does that mean cataracts are curtains? The nose is the windmill of the mind. I made that up. The mouth, in current jargon, is referred to as a pie hole. The term demeans mouths, pies and holes, which is really saying something. Here is the rub:. In conc...

Jans Box of Sox. I find it hard to believe that what I wish for will come true. This may be because of experience,. Or it may be because of my lack of faith. It’s hard to tell. But wishes will not stay in a cage. They will peck you to death. Until you pay attention. And while you are bleeding. The dream will bloom again. You’ve got to give it a chance. You’ve got to give it room. You’ve got to show up. Even if you don’t believe. Because one day things will turn around. It might be tomorrow. April 12, 2016.

Jans Box of Sox. Category Archives: Now We’re Cooking. Appealing Hard Boiled Eggs. I’ve been experimenting with hard boiled eggs. Nothing weird, I’ve just been trying to find a way to get them to peel easy and stay smooth. Here is the process I’ve found that works really well:. I use a medium sized pan, so I cook about 8 large eggs at a time. I don’t stack them, but I don’t know if that would make a difference, since I’ve never done it that way. Eat eggs and prosper. Jans Box of Sox. Appealing Hard Boiled Eggs. I’ve been experimenting with hard boiled eggs. Nothing weird, I’ve just been trying to find a way to get them to peel easy and stay smooth. Here is the process I’ve found that works really well:. The reason I like brown eggs is that it’s easy to see if any shells are still on the egg. Anyway, I’ve been doing this with my hard boiled eggs for long enough to recommend this process to you. My eggs come out whole and pretty every time. Eat eggs and prosper. Based ...

Jans Box of Sox. Frogs in the Bed… A Eugenia T. Wookerman Chronicle. I felt guilty resting warm and comfy between my flannel sheets. I’d just finished reading an article in Scientific American about the worldwide froggie crisis. Something in the environment was causing their croakage in record numbers. I wasn’t sure if my little garden friends were toads or frogs. It didn’t matter. I pictured them cold-blooded and shivering in the early autumn chill. Old Fart MacEnry shouted in our direction. Everything’...

If this is true, who among us is lesser? Religions leave women out or relegate them to bit roles: Virgin Mother, Ev(e)il-doer, prostitute, servant or slave. I don’t relate. I won’t relate. The Bible is only half the story. I would like to see the girl’s edition, written by women. This entry was posted in Chasing Down God. November 22, 2015.

Jans Box of Sox. 4th of July – Freedom’s a Blast. I have grown to hate fireworks. When I was a kid, the 4. This summer our yards and the surrounding forests are especially dry. The boys across the street light their crackers beneath a huge old maple tree. The tree’s canopy interweaves with the equally gigantic trees across the street – arm in arm they eventually reach my house. The trees silently offer shade and protection, but a spark would instantly change their demeanor. It makes no sense to me. I...
