Thursday, May 23, 2013. 2 cups long grain white rice. 1/4 cup vegetable oil. 1 Tbsp minced garlic. 4 cups hot chicken broth (Or 4 cups water and 2 bullion cubes). 1/4 cup frozen or fresh peas. 1/2 cup chopped carrots. 1 Heat oil in a large pot. Add rice, stir to coat with oil. Lower the heat to medium and cook until each grain is separate and pale golden- approximately 8-10 minutes. 3 Increase heat to medium-high and pour tomato mixture over the rice. Mix well. Thursday, December 18, 2014. We had an impromptu ginger bread constructing for family home evening a couple of weeks ago. I didn't make it to the store, so we only had what was available in the pantry. But what was most important was that we had a great time. Molly and I worked together. We were more carefree with our design. Our roof caved and we turned it into the garage for Lucy and Daddy's house. Daddy and Lucy were far more careful and patient in their construction. Lucy loves birthday parties, and she is old enough that she has friends now to invite to a birthday party, so it was a must this year.
