Sunday, April 26, 2009. I went to 4, sort of 5 stores in my hunt for "the Dress...

http://seesouthamericawithme.blogspot.com/2012/02/mercado-sunday.html
See South America with Me! Sunday, February 12, 2012. Here is where we ended up that Sunday after the Inka Market shopping trip. It doesn't look like much, but inside there are hundred of stall selling everything one could imagine. I will spare you the pics of naked dead chickens and strips of beef heart, etc. This is so I can go back! Google map does not work well here. We had to stop for fuel on the way to the market. When Miguel first started his taxi service, he had all his cars converted to LNG.

See South America with Me! Saturday, December 31, 2011. She's a real truck with a five speed, four wheel drive, manual transmission. She can go ANYWHERE SHE WANTS (even over the Andes due to her low O2 engine). Can you hear Tim Allen from "Tooltime" making man sounds in the background."Argh Argh Argh argh.". Ella es LA GRINGA. It wasn't hard to buy such a beautiful horse. The Chilean Mining Company, Codelco, just bought 2500 like her the week before. Of course La Gringa was the one they REALLY wanted...

We didn't know to ferment the beans. You can see the gelatinous gunk around the bean pods.

See South America with Me! Monday, February 13, 2012. A Ride thru Casablanca. Before leaving for the day, the El Cuadra Somelier treated us to a ride through the vineyards. He was very proud of its development and history primarily due to. Our tour carriage awaits. Rarely can the success of a wine valley be put down squarely to the actions of one individual. So in 1982, he bought his first 20 hectares and planted vines of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling, producing his first wines four years late...

Wednesday, April 28, 2010. La La La La Serena! First stop on THE JOURNEY. Santiago. I finally got the yellow fever vaccination that took me six days to track down and obtain. Ughhhhhhhh. Second stop on THE JOURNEY. Luckily, the lovely Allison. It's been really interesting to hear about their expat experiences and to learn about all the wonderful cooking adventures they've undertaken with the limited supply of ingredients available in Chile.
