Today is Emma's 10th birthday, which means she no longer belongs to the single digit club. I think she's had a good day. She has been very excited about her birthday, partially because she also had her party today. It's over and I don't have to worry about it anymore. :). Here's a picture of the cupcakes. Cindy and Russ' Blog. Should probably warn you that it's mostly ramblings. Friday, November 9, 2012. Quick Trip to Idaho. Jimmy stayed with Russ' parents for most of the trip. He had just gotten a leopard gecko and was worried about Russ taking care of it. Plus he didn't want to drive that long. We made good time heading there and so decided to wait until we got there for lunch, having left in the morning. All in all, it was a fun trip to visit my sister and her family. Jimmy started the 8th grade. He's nearly as tall as I am (which isn't saying much), but I'm sure he will easily pass me up before the year's end. Helps that they have a tv with a dvd player in the room so he could watch a movie. He was ready to go home after the echo and didn't want to wait and meet with the doctor though. The path a parent of a child with a health issue can be a lonely one. Our friends and family offer love and support as they can (in most cases), but most often they don't know what it's like to go through it.
