Sowing Seeds: July 2007
http://missionlazarusranch.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 19, 2007. Yesterday I participated in a necessary but disgusting part of a working cattle ranch. Gustavo, Olman, Wilson, Samuel, Bartolo and I stole the manhood from about 20 young bulls. I actually cut and removed once! The men were excited though becuase apparently "huevos de toro" are a delicacy around here. They even ate some of the smaller ones raw- right there- with salt and lime juice. dont you wish you had been there? Wednesday, July 18, 2007. Being a Researcher…. So, I got a pictu...

An active journal of my experiences as a Christian and as a nurse in southern Honduras. To top it all off, after hours of fun at Chiminike we took the kids to McDonald's and filled them up on hamburgers and french fries! Completely tuckered out and now with full bellies the 21 content little faces laid down and slept as we journed back in the big yellow school bus to our oasis in the mountains. The best part of the trip you ask? Last Thursday the MDs were finally able to wean Aleyda off of the ventilator...

An active journal of my experiences as a Christian and as a nurse in southern Honduras. God is faithful. I think maybe, sometimes in Honduras it is hard for people to see that; to recognize that God is faithful, when they are surrounded by so much poverty, and hardship, and hopelessness. But never the less, it is true, and God is making that clear in the case of Marlon Herrera. 160;The hospital, as well, will be giving us a huge discount. God is faithful. Thanks for your love and support! I am a medic...

Growing Up in the Lord: A Little Bit of Love - by Haley
http://missionlazarusschools.blogspot.com/2008/07/little-bit-of-love-by-haley.html
Growing Up in the Lord. Friday, July 11, 2008. A Little Bit of Love - by Haley. I officially love the kids at the school in San Marcos. I think I started loving them a long time before this, but now I realize that I only have 3 more days left with them, and I am really. It feels so good to be loved by these kids, and to love them in return. I´m going to miss them so much. Thank you, Lord, for bringing me here. July 12, 2008 at 11:45 AM. An active journal of my experiences as a Christian and as a nurse in southern Honduras. It's that time of year again! Time to dust off your old shoeboxes and fill the with gifts for sweet little children in Honduras. Last year we were able to bless 9,500 children in Honduras with Christmas gifts, yet we still fell short. This year we are aiming to bless 12,000 children who would otherwise not receive a Christmas gift! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Follow me on Twitter.

http://meredithljones.blogspot.com/2009/09/childrens-day.html
An active journal of my experiences as a Christian and as a nurse in southern Honduras. Though not the best video ever, I posted this because I want y'all to see how FUN my job is! Because of the poverty in Agua Fria, the kids up there weren't going to be able to celebrate this day set aside especially for them, so we decided to help them celebrate! With little gift bags, lots of candy and a pinata we set off from the office for the jungle. Now, if only I had a video of that. maybe next time.

An active journal of my experiences as a Christian and as a nurse in southern Honduras. GI Surgery is a Success. With two surgeries down and only one to go, we are working diligently to get Marlon ready for travel to the US. Marlon attended his last surgical appointment this past week and received the "all clear" from his awesome gastrointestinal surgeon! Please ask God to open doors for Marlon's congenital heart defect to be repaired in the US. Riding Lessons at the Mission Lazarus Refuge. All children...
