2… 1… Liftoff! Don't worry, we're mostly harmless…. On Being Debt Free. February 14, 2014. This is a good feeling! Last year at this time, I had $2600 in credit card debt, $1300 that I still owed on my ridiculously amazing laptop, and several thousand on an auto loan. In the last year, with a part-time job and being full-time in school, I paid off all of my credit card debt, my laptop, and about $3000 on my auto loan. I accomplished it by changing my priorities. 2… 1… Liftoff! Don't worry, we're mostly harmless…. How to use your Video Camera as an Infrared Detector. February 23, 2014. Many modern video cameras have a “night” mode, which allows grayish video of close subjects to be taken, even in utter darkness. This feature means that such video cameras can be used as infrared (IR) detectors–they can pick up infrared light that is invisible to the human eye. Here’s how the night mode works on these cameras:. So what can we do with this IR detector? Well, one of ...

2… 1… Liftoff! Don't worry, we're mostly harmless…. March 10, 2014. For about $10, you can build your own infrared goggles. No, these goggles won’t let you see through houses, clothing, or in the dark. These goggles work simply by blocking all light that is not infrared. In technical terms, the goggles are infrared-pass goggles, meaning they filter out everything that is not infrared. The inspiration and design of these IR goggles comes from Bill Beaty. And a sheet of 106 Primary Red gel filter. Most inf...

2… 1… Liftoff! Don't worry, we're mostly harmless…. I Saved $500 a Year by Switching Cell Carriers. September 28, 2013. It’s not a cellphone, but you get the sentiment…. You know how Verizon charges you $200 for the latest cellphone, and then they don’t allow you to use it with any other carriers? Despite being only halfway through my latest 2-year contract with Verizon Wireless, I decided to switch to Straight Talk. Why? Here’s how my savings stack up:. Verizon annual access charge: $1080. My early term...

2… 1… Liftoff! Don't worry, we're mostly harmless…. Newer posts →. December 12, 2013. This afternoon I had my last final exam for the semester–chemistry. I feel pretty confident with my score. I should get a score around the mid-90’s, which isn’t bad considering that I didn’t review much for the exam. No worries, though… I can score all the down to 76% on the final and still walk away with an A for the course. And do some reading. The Day After Beer. December 9, 2013. 2… 1… Liftoff! Don't worry, we're mostly harmless…. No More Dew Boy. October 11, 2013. This isn’t my stack. Mine would’ve been way bigger! I enjoy a can of Mountain Dew about once or twice a month. Not bad huh? Maybe, but if I was, that addiction was nothing like my addiction to nicotine. Most likely, I was just habituated to the taste and the sugar rush. And made available under. 2… 1… Liftoff! Don't worry, we're mostly harmless…. The One Year Anniversary of the New Me. March 7, 2014. Even our Amish parents and siblings made it to our beach wedding. It didn’t take a lot of consideration before I decided to enroll. My life was getting stagnant, and college, it seemed, was exactly what I needed. I enrolled in college, but I did way more than that. I took the opportunity to completely reorganize my life and my priorities. As much as I possibly could. Newer post →. One thought on &ld...
