It was an amalgamation of fuel oil, lube oil, hot machinery, warm electrical connections, rubber, welding sparks, paint, shoe polish, humanity, and cabbages and stack gas.all mingling together to form an imperfect union. It was a U.S. Navy ship! Immediatley recognizable to anyone who ever served and went to sea! Cabbages and Stack Gas! Cabbages and Stack Gas.

Right away I have respect for this wine. It’s tame, balanced and the alcohol is in check, which these days is rare for California Zins.
