http://lazytcrochet.blogspot.com/2013/06/button-tips-and-techniques.html
Friday, June 21, 2013. Button Tips and Techniques for Knit or Crochet. I love buttons and have been incorporating them into my designs. As often as I can. Whether functional or decorative, you want to make sure they're going to stay in place and, if necessary, stand up through washing and ordinary wear. I've put together some tips and techniques for sewing buttons on knit and crochet pieces. For more button tips see this great post at Crochet Me. Sewing buttons on knitwear. LazyTcrochet: Foundationless Double Crochet or DcChain
http://lazytcrochet.blogspot.com/2010/03/foundationless-crochet.html
Friday, March 5, 2010. Foundationless Double Crochet or DcChain. I thought I'd share with you one of my favorite techniques. Instead of starting every project with a chain strip, using a "foundationless" stitch can speed up the start of your project and allow for more stretch than a starting chain would. See the picture above - the last chain made under the hook is the "base chain" and the double crochet will be on top of it, next to the starting chain 3. To work the next DC Ch, YO and insert the hook in...
LazyTcrochet: November 2012

Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Sharp Crochet Hook Review and A Giveaway! I had just put away my husband's nail set tool, when Jessica, from Sharp Crochet Hook. Contacted me and asked if I would write a product review. I used to use the nail set to punch holes in fabric so that I could crochet an edge on something, or crochet along a kitchen towel. Many times, I have bent my tiniest crochet hooks, trying to poke holes in fabric and save time. THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ENTERING!

Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Red Heart's Sashay ruffle yarn has been so popular that local yarn stores can't keep it in stock. I heard one clerk say that they have customers waiting while they unload the truck! I've made a few scarves with it and it is easy to work with in both knit and crochet, but the colors aren't that appealing to me. I think it's either because I've seen the same ones over and over again or that so many people are making Sashay scarves now. And now, it's pretty much ruined. One of the n...

SheaClay Pottery, hand crafted by Tracy Shea. A mudslinging extravaganza created in and around the studio of Mrs. Mud. Saturday, March 02, 2013. Not Time for Tea Just Yet. My sister in law gave me some loose leaf, pomegranate tea and an infuser for my birthday. It smells so wonderful and deserves to be brewed in a lovely teapot. And so, once again, I am on a quest to make an excellent teapot. Good looking, lightweight, balanced, pours well. This is my latest attempt. Showing how to do it. Local Pottery a...

SheaClay Pottery, hand crafted by Tracy Shea. A mudslinging extravaganza created in and around the studio of Mrs. Mud. Thursday, June 30, 2011. I had some crackling and peeling of the terra sigillata- so I intend to change my recipe and try applying it thinner. Also, there is a bit of salt scumming on the surface of the pot. Too much salt? The color, though, is right where I want to be. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Buy SheaClay on Etsy. View my complete profile. Ceramic Arts Daily Daily. Just Rolling In It.

SheaClay Pottery, hand crafted by Tracy Shea. A mudslinging extravaganza created in and around the studio of Mrs. Mud. Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Kids classes at my house, we made angry birds. Clay formed around paper balls, decorated. Students love to "surgically" remove the paper when they are. Add a slot in the back, and it's a bank! It's light, nice glaze. Pours well. Ugly spout, drips. Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Cinnamon Graham, Cream Cheese, Nutella, Oh, MY! Saturday, March 02, 2013. I had difficulty...
