Mrs. Brauch's P.E. Class

Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Badminton Rules and Concepts. Tests will be May 12 for Wed. classes and May 13 for Thurs. classes. During an average Badminton game, players jump, run, turn, and twist in many directions. This is why it is great physical exercise. Badminton is played as either singles (one on one) or doubles (two on two). A shuttlecock or “shuttle,” for short, is used instead of a ball. The shuttle is hit with a lightweight racquet. It is usually made of wood, plastic, or light metal. In badminton...

Mrs. Brauch's P.E. Class: January 2010

http://lbrauch.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, January 13, 2010. We celebrated the Christmas season in physical education class with dances and games! The kindergartners used streamers to dance to Jingle Bells and We Wish You A Merry Christmas. They used the streamers to make letters, move them at low, medium, and high levels, manipulate them through their legs, and "stir the pot." It was lots of fun to move to the beat with streamers! The fourth and fifth graders danced to the Jingle Bell Rock. This dance was the same as the Macarena.

I’ve moved to laurenbrassaw.com. By all means, come visit! Sunday morning. It is very warm for this time of year. I am sitting on my balcony overlooking a courtyard. It is quiet, but from around the corner I can hear the traditional corals of the Bulgarian Christian Orthodox church traveling towards me. Purple flowers are planted in a pot next to me. I am having my breakfast and it is delightful, I have to say. I believe, at this moment, I do know where I am. The hundredth day. Where am I? Here we’...

Lauren vs. Econ | An optimistic view on a geneally dismal topic

Lauren vs. Econ. An optimistic view on a geneally dismal topic. Abortion and Crime Revisited. Last week I posted on a chapter in Freakanomics about the relationship between abortion and crime rates. Math Rocks #3: Goals, goals, goals. August 6, 2015. August 6, 2015. My goals for this year teaching math is to successfully implement all that I have learned as a 5th grade teacher. My campus uses the Share and Compare framework and I see my kids grow immensely from it. I have grown SO much as a teacher over the last 6 years at Sommer Elementary and want to see how I can incorporate all my new knowledge into this new grade level. I am excited for this year and what it has in store! July 27, 2015.

My original Paintings are created from my desire to record wildlife, landscapes, seascapes and glaciers for future generations, since, because of climate change, our surroundings might not be the same in the near or far future. I also enjoy painting portraits and people. In my earlier stages of life as an artist I made pencil, pastel and charcoal drawings. Later I learned to paint with oils. All my paintings are for sale. Price is negociable. Links to check out what my friends are doing:.
