Sunday, October 05, 2008. What the castings look like. This is a photo of the castings I am recommending in the instructions. The buffers look good, the oil lamps okay but I am not convinced yet by the axleboxes. Do any of you know a source of 7mm axleboxes? Please let me know. The buffer pads are soldered up from parts provided in the etch. Right, I have been informed from Australia! That I have the wrong set of MetroCam axleboxes! If you have bought an etch please order CS33! Posted by Ian at 9:00 pm.

IanMacCormacModels: January 2008
http://ianmaccormacmodels.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 26, 2008. 6 wheel adjustable wheelbase coach chassis. This is something I had forgotten to show on the blog. I bought one and it works very well. The thing I didn't like about it were the shape of the w-irons and all the gubbins that hangs down from the central axle area. I spoke to Dave at Roxey and asked if I could develop his idea and he said go ahead! I did and came up with an adjustable system that is very similar and keeps the area clear. As you can see, there is less clutter show...

Dave's LBSCR projects
After a long pause where I've been playing with other models, I've had a very pleasant couple of days re-acquainting myself with my soldering iron and RSU. I've been building an 1864 Craven First from Ian MacCormac. Which I bought at Scaleforum. The kit went together well and has produced a very nice model:. The model is largely complete, just needs a clean up and some casting for the axle boxes, lamps and buffers and a decision on couplings. Now I must get back to some locos! The tender was part finishe...
