Friday, June 21, 2013. Matangi and The Taniwha. We are learning to retell a Maori Legend and do an art respose to it. The Legend Of Matangi. Once upon a time Matangi went to live in the forest in Manawatu. There was lots of food to eat so he invited his family to visit him. But people started to disappear. Matangi and some warriors went to the swamp. They saw an evil, mean Taniwha in the water. He had blue scales, a big red scary horn, six legs and sharp spines down his back. Wednesday, June 12, 2013.
