Thursday, March 31, 2016. Last One Fast One. When I raced at UNH, at the end of every interval session or race season we would call out "last one, fast one! As a reminder to keep pushing through the pain near the end. Knowing that we were all in it together motivated us to keep going even when coasting in would have been easier. Elizabeth Guiney: August 2015
http://elizabethguiney.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 31, 2015. You know something crazy has happened when you blink and all of a sudden the whole summer is almost gone. It's September? How did this happen? We've been having hints of it for a little bit with apples on the roadside and the odd tree branch showing its fall colors, but now it's really sinking in. The GRP is leaving in four days for a training trip in Austria and I can't wait to get real snow beneath my boots, but I'm also a little sad to be leaving Vermont. Alright here we go:.

Elizabeth Guiney: VT --> UT
http://elizabethguiney.blogspot.com/2016/11/vt-ut.html
Friday, November 4, 2016. Besides winter, fall is definitely my favorite season. What's not to like- you've got cool, crisp air, even crispier fresh apples, crunchy leaves underfoot, and of course, anticipation for the coming ski season. Although the first few days back felt a bit like getting run over by a truck, I was happy to find those good speedy feelings again by the end of the speed block. Snow dances, everyone! A gorgeous dirt road run back in early October in Vermont,. With garden guru Pam.

Elizabeth Guiney: Silver in Silver Star
http://elizabethguiney.blogspot.com/2016/12/silver-in-silver-star.html
Monday, December 19, 2016. Silver in Silver Star. I'm a bit late with my blog from the NorAms in Silver Star, but it's been a bit of a crazy ride since I finished the 10k skate last Sunday! More on that later, but here are a few photos from the wonderful place that is Silver Star, British Columbia. In a nutshell: frosty trees, kilometers on kilometers of perfectly groomed trails, story book houses, and a hot tub in every rental house. In other words, every skier's dream. Sunset rip with the GRP crew.

Elizabeth Guiney: July 2016
http://elizabethguiney.blogspot.com/2016_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 7, 2016. How did it get so late so soon? That line from a Dr. Seuss poem pretty much sums up the first two months of training in Craftsbury for me! Anyways- less talk, more photos, here are a bunch from the first bit of training, and a few non-training ones as well. Enjoy! One of the first rollerskis of the year- Pepa calls. Us the "smiling monkeys" on the branch. I think our front yard is pretty darn beautiful. By the way,. Tucking into the draft at the start of a rollerski OD. With June ...

http://elizabethguiney.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 17, 2015. Hay in the Barn. To all my loyal followers out there (here's looking at you, Mom), I realize that it has been quite a while since my last update! For that I apologize sincerely, and while I wish I could say that it won't happen again, it turns out that things can get crazy busy during the summer and sitting down to write a blog sometimes feels like a luxury. A typical day in Craftsbury during the summer might look something like this:. 7:15 am- Wake-up time! 10:00 pm- Lights out.

Elizabeth Guiney: February 2016
http://elizabethguiney.blogspot.com/2016_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 10, 2016. I'm just now realizing that it's been a while since Nationals and my last update! I'll try to keep this one succint and photo-filled. I took 11th place, never really hitting my stride but pushing through nevertheless. Getting the rough end of the "slingshot" effect in the Lake Placid. Sprint, APU speedsters Chelsea Holmes and Becca Rorabaugh. Coming through (Photo Alex Howe). Women's sprint semifinal #2 (Photo Alex Howe). A smile even with klister all over his hands! It was ...
