Comics I Like: April 2012
http://favcomics.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 7, 2012. Supergirl (Vol. 5). Death in the Family. By Sterling Gates and Jamal Igle. DC Comics, 2009-2011. I thought the Peter David run (with Gary Frank and later Leonard Kirk) on Supergirl. Was going to be hard to beat, but Gates and Igle have proven that their stories from #34-59 (most of them collected in these four volumes) have proven to be just as strong. Thursday, April 5, 2012. By Peter J. Tomasi and Peter Snejbjerg. DC Comics, 2005. The Sugar and Spike Archives. DC Comics, 2011.

Saturday, May 7, 2011. Adam Strange: Planet Heist. By Andy Diggle and Pascal Ferry. DC Comics, 2005. Pity that the series which picks up from where this book ends is a dud. Anyway, this is one of the most fun and entertaining sci-fi adventure comic stories I've come across with cool art! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I wanted to compile what I thought to be some of the best comics, graphic novels, whatever-you-call-its that I've read. . Adam Strange: Planet Heist.

Films I Remember: Return of the Living Dead (1985)
http://filmsilikez.blogspot.com/2008/09/return-of-living-dead-1985.html
Friday, September 5, 2008. Return of the Living Dead (1985). The first film that my classmates and I went to watch together when we were probably 11 or 12. It was at the Prince and Jade cinema in Beach Road, which is still around. I remember sort of making fun of others who might have been scared by the film, although I myself was also closing my eyes during certain parts, although I never admitted to it. . Comics I Like: June 2011
http://favcomics.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 13, 2011. By Jason Aaron and Daniel Zezelj. Vertigo Comics, 2010. Scalped is one of the most depressing series I've read, with the characters constantly struggling against the harsh realities of life. While this stand-alone tale is no exception, it is slightly more hopeful as it tells the tale of a loving old couple and their struggles. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Vertigo Comics, 2010 -. Bambi meets The Walking Dead without zombies! So far, this has been a pretty good read with great art and a story that throws an innocent into a harsh, apocalyptic world. Note: This series is currently ongoing. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Cinema! Cinema! Cinema!: May 2015
http://lcinema.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 31, 2015. Always refreshing to watch a film so strong in its film language that's accessible to even mainstream audiences with an open mind. Friday, May 29, 2015. Thursday, May 28, 2015. Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). Good action flicks make you care for the characters and this one is no exception. Watched in 2D but had me piqued to want to check it out in IMAX 3D. Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Fast and Furious 7 (2015). Sunday, May 24, 2015. Parasyte Part 2 (2015).

Cinema! Cinema! Cinema!: January 2015
http://lcinema.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 22, 2015. The Imitation Game (2014). Wednesday, January 21, 2015. The Theory of Everything (2014). Teared loads. Probably one of the best performances I've seen on film. Eddie Redmaye is incredible and so too is Felicity Jones. Lovely score too. Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Not sure I like. But I didn't really dig the main character or his story that much. Saturday, January 17, 2015. Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain (2014). The Taking of Tiger Mountain - 智取威虎山 (2014). Friday, January 16, 2015.

Sunday, July 26, 2015. Saturday, July 18, 2015. The Bling Ring (2013). I see this as more of art rather than entertainment. I also think that Katie Chang and Israel Broussard gave good performances. Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Saturday, July 11, 2015. Slow and steady. Appreciated it but dunno if I'll like it in the long run. (kinda like a female version of how Skynet begins :).
