The Howell Family: December 2009
http://kshowellfam.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 23, 2009. He Gave (And She Gave). We attended our Christmas Eve service at WFC tonight. It was a wonderful service, and the theme of the message was simply that He gave. God gave us His one and only son, Jesus, as the best gift that we can receive this Christmas season. We hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas season! NOTE: If the above video does not load well, please click on this link. To view the video on YouTube. Thanks! Wednesday, December 16, 2009. During the church serv...

The Howell Family: October 2009

Saturday, October 31, 2009. Hannah got the most enjoyment from seeing if she could literally eat the candy and the wrapper all at the same time! She was not too pleased that we made her wait until we got back to the house to enjoy a few pieces of candy before bed. I can't believe that tomorrow will be November already. This fall seems to be going by so fast - perhaps because it hasn't really felt like fall here! Maybe it won't really feel like winter either - well, I can always hope! Dad - Stop That.

The Howell Family: August 2009

Monday, August 31, 2009. This morning, I took Lydia to her "school" to visit her Children's Day Out teachers for this year. On the way to school, Hannah and Lydia were sitting in their respective car seats. It is not at all unusual to hear Lydia start doing something that makes Hannah giggle and pretty soon they are both laughing - Lydia to get the giggle reaction from Hannah and Hannah laughing at how silly her older sister is. Or "Hannah - why aren't you laughing? Hope that you all have a great week!

The Howell Family: Any Guesses?
http://kshowellfam.blogspot.com/2010/04/any-guesses.html
Wednesday, April 14, 2010. It has been confirmed - Hannah drives like her mother! Yes - Hannah took her Winnie the Pooh car for a drive down our basement stairs about four days before her second birthday. Here is to the next year with my ornery two-year old! The Howell Family: October 2008

Monday, October 20, 2008. This past weekend, we embarked on a little journey. We ventured to Louisburg, KS to the Cider Mill and then to Powell Pumpkin Patch. The Cider Mill was somewhat disappointing because they weren't actually making any cider, but we still enjoyed the cider donuts and apple cider! Here are Lydia and Daddy looking like quite the fashionable pair in their sunglasses before we head off into the field to find our pumpkins. Here are Hannah and Daddy - she looks so big in this picture!

Wednesday, April 14, 2010. Wow - life has certainly been a whirlwind the last few days (or the last few months as well since I haven't updated our blog since December). Yikes! We went to Jose Pepper's for dinner and then off to a fun night of bowling with some of our friends and family! Fun was certainly had by all, and we were glad that several people made the trip from Wichita to celebrate with Brian! Can you tell they are brothers? The cousins (Parker, Lydia, Brecken, Hannah). On Sunday afternoon, we ...

Tuesday, December 16, 2008. This is one of Lydia in action in the snow. We made snow angels together. Of course, she wanted me to show her how it was done. Then, she fell down face first into the snow to make hers. Oh well - she came up laughing! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Shields' in the City. S and C Family. We love blue spruces. The Howell Family: Pumpkin Fever
http://kshowellfam.blogspot.com/2009/10/pumpkin-fever.html
Monday, October 19, 2009. Anyway, we tried out a pumpkin patch near Lawrence called Schaake's Pumpkin Patch. As you can tell from the pictures, I think we actually had more fun playing with the pumpkins in the pumpkin patch than we did actually picking the ones we brought home. Lydia also got to try out the pumpkin slingshot, we all attempted the hay bale maze, and the girls ended our trip with getting candy corn painted on their faces. All in all a great fall day! Do you think I can carry this one?

The Howell Family: September 2009

Tuesday, September 29, 2009. It is hard to believe that Lydia is officially three years old! You have to be three years old to ride the ponies so this was Lydia's first opportunity. At first, she seemed a little unsure, but by the end, she was smiling! I hope she doesn't expect to ride a pony every time that we go to the farm! We then went back to our corral for cupcakes - the cupcakes were made by Aunt Brooke, and they were wonderful! All in all, the weekend was perfect! But we also had Lydia's three-ye...
