A Conversation About Public Education. This weekend I have decided to take my daughter to the YMCA and teach her to swim. I mention this because I plan on taking the advice of Regents Chancellor, Merryl Tisch and throw Clare into the deep end. I will not give her floaties, nor will I teach her how to tread water.
