I've never been a runner in my life, but I've always thought it would be something I would like to do, so after 8 weeks of running and completing the Couch to 5K. Running plan for the second time (I did it after the boys were born), I was ready to try my 2nd 5K with my parents and Rob. A day in the life of. Thursday, July 21, 2011. For Rob's 30th birthday, we decided to sneak away as a family to a condo in Galveston. We had the most amazing time, and plan to make this a yearly (if not bi-annual) tradition. We stumbled upon this hidden gem called Pointe West. There is so much to see and do on Galveston Island and the city is so rich with history, that we barely scratched the surface on our 5 day vacation, so we have lots to look forward to in the years to come.
