Presley Family Footprint: Dad's Passing
http://christiananderinpresley.blogspot.com/2015/04/dads-passing.html
Thursday, April 23, 2015. Aunt Suzanne came out to visit Dad for his birthday. On his birthday he spent the morning visiting with Mom and Sue, and then he took a nap. He never woke up. I was sorry to hear about your dad. My dad passed almost five years ago. I cannot imagine dealing with a loss like that without a knowledge of the plan of salvation! May 22, 2015 at 3:35 AM. Presley Family Footprint: Spring Break!! (Part 3)
http://christiananderinpresley.blogspot.com/2015/04/spring-break-part-3.html
Saturday, April 11, 2015. We didn't only do historical stuff on our trip. Fun as that was, I think the highlight of the trip was the day that we spent at Busch Gardens! It was much cooler than I expected, and several of us forgot to bring jackets. So Aedan and Jacen acquired some cool Busch Gardens sweatshirts. Amusement parks are always fun, but having another family there with us made it even better! They were so excited just waiting in line! There were lots of fun roller coasters for the big kids to r...

Thursday, October 30, 2014. But when we do things, we don't do them simply. Rather than make flat shields, Christian decided to build a shield press. Which allowed him to make the shields curved. Jacen wanted the Hylian Shield and the Master Sword. And Aedan wanted the Mirror Shield and the Master Sword. Isaac was very interested the whole time Christian was working - so Christian decided to make him a sword, too. They all turned out pretty cool, and will be great for the kids to play with for years!

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. As per family tradition, we spent New Year's Eve at my parents house. We made home made pizzas and played Aggravation with gum drops. We didn't stay up til midnight, but we sure did have a fun time staying up later than usual. What a wonderful year it has been. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family to have shared it with. Sunday, December 28, 2014. The Three Billy Goats Grufff (A Little Christmas Day fun by the Presley Kids). Clop, clop, clop" The young...

Monday, July 28, 2014. A friend of mine found a coupon on Certifikid for tubing the Shenandoah and suggested that maybe we do it for the Young Women at church as an activity. I thought I would take my kids and see if I thought it was something that they might want to do, so on a nice, sunny morning the kids and I headed off for a tubing adventure! The first part of the adventure was the bus ride to the launch point. Everyone got their own tube, and we tethered together a few of them. The kids had a BLAST!

Presley Family Footprint: June 2014

Wednesday, June 25, 2014. I didn't end up signing up for Park Quest this year (I missed the registration! But that doesn't mean that I can't still learn about other State Parks through the Park Quest website! That's where I learned about Calvert Cliffs State Park. The hike was fairly flat, and mostly shady - which is good, because 1.8 miles is pretty far for Isaac! The beach itself was fairly small, but it was also uncrowded. Most places around here are so crowded, anything that isn't is wonderful! Walki...

Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Blue and Gold Volcano Cake! Each year for the Blue and Gold Banquet, our Cub Scout Troop does a cake decorating contest. The cake is supposed to go along with the theme, but you can be as creative as you want in the interpretation of the theme. This was our first B&G with Aedan as a cub scout, and I will admit, I was a little excited about the cake contest. The theme was "The Great Outdoors" and Aedan chose. a volcano! We made trees out of candy and pretzel sticks.

Saturday, January 31, 2015. This month we have had a few fun snow days! The kids have enjoyed being able to go play in the snow with our great neighbors. They've made snow angels. Built snowmen with friends. Had snowball fights with friends. Sledded more with friends. Jumped on a snowy trampoline with friends. Played warm indoor activities with friends. And enjoyed being lazy together in the basement. My foyer constantly looks like this (lots of snow stuff everywhere). Doesn't he look cute in them? We he...

Saturday, August 30, 2014. The First Week of School. Sad though I am that summer is over, the advent of school brings good things, too. With the start of the school year comes lots of fun new things to look forward to. Like the fact that my baby girl is now eleven and in sixth grade, which here in Maryland translates to. the beginning of Middle School! I'm both excited and nervous for Eilenora as she starts this whole new adventure. Sunday, August 24, 2014. No dead caterpillars this time. We decided to k...

Tuesday, September 30, 2014. One of our favorite fall activities is going apple picking! So one day when school was a half day, we headed off after school to Homestead Farms for some apple farm fun. Of course we picked (and ate) lots of delicious apples. But we also played in the huge straw pile,. Fed the goats and other animals,. And took pictures in cheesy Homestead Farm billboards. All in all, it was a great fall day! Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Afterwards we headed to Brewster's for some ice cream.
