http://www.ldsastro.blogspot.com/2014/01/did-life-originate-from-global-chemical.html
My life as a Mormon Astrobiologist. Thursday, January 16, 2014. Did Life Originate from a Global Chemical Reactor? The origin of life remains one of the most open scientific questions in Astrobiology. While there's been great headway in both laboratory and theoretical understanding in how life may have originated, we still don't know when, where or how life originated. Today's post revolves around this paper. Have formed in an isolated habitat? You have the right conditions. What are the right conditions?

LDS Astro: 26 Questions from General Conference
http://www.ldsastro.blogspot.com/2014/04/26-questions-from-general-conference.html
My life as a Mormon Astrobiologist. Saturday, April 26, 2014. 26 Questions from General Conference. This isn't related to astronomy at all, but I thought I'd share a compilation of questions you can ask yourself taken from this past General Conference. There's 26 questions, one for each week until the next General Conference. You can think of this as a version of Alma 5.only not as long :). 2) Do you realize how deeply the Lord loves and cherishes you, even now? 4) Where is our faith? Is it in a team?

Fun things this week: Luke refers to himself as "Luku-Bear" and it is the cutest thing eveah. We saw a ton of thunder and lightening storms and Luke would say "Thunder BOOM! Whenever we heard it. When Luke would wake up in the morning the first thing he would always say is "Go Four Wheeler Ride.". Luke giving Uncle Steven a four wheeler ride! Driving the motor boat!

Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Suncadia and Luke's Convertible. We mentioned at the end of last week's entry that we were about to head out to a Microsoft training thing at Suncadia Resort off in the mountains east of us. The pictures online looked great, but that was nothing compared to what we saw! Of the untouched mountains with a river snaking down below us? The view from our room. It was super cute how he needed a stage for his rock star debut! Our grown up fancy food was good. but Amit and Marin...

Sunday, July 27, 2014. More Water Slide PWEEZ! If he looks unhappy, it's only because he can't figure out a way to get the otter pop into his mouth fast enough. This week was full of water! Family Housing had two. Super fun water events. On Monday they had some sprinklers running and otter pops! Luke wasn't really into the sprinklers. something about getting water on his face that isn't really fun or something. But he LOVED his otter pop - and of course the tricycle he found. And then we were like "Wow!

Sunday, June 28, 2015. And A Legend Was Born - Luke the Dragon Rider! It is that time of year again - the anniversary of the blog post that changed The Heb forever. When it went from "the random stuff of two ordinary people trying to push themselves as the most interesting people on the planet" to a blog you actually wanted to read! Or at least look at. You see, three years ago LUKE WAS BORN! And this blog started posting a whole lot more pictures. Yes sir-ee, our little boy is THREE YEARS OLD! The best ...

She is so alert now, and just loves looking you straight in the eye and smiling. And what a smile! It looks like it is just going to melt off her face! She also LOVES it when you sing random little tunes to her while making her hands dance around on her tummy! Look at that cute hedgehog hair! It was crazy with so ma...

Sunday, September 28, 2014. Big Fat Geek Wedding. This weekend Marinda got to attend her good college friends wedding in Denver! She's an experimental particle physicist grad student who's marrying another experimental particle physicist. Not surprisingly the event was quite the big fat geek wedding. First, for the non-nerdy things, it was at this beautiful golf course up at the foot of the mountains with giant red rocks sticking out in the background, and Laura looked like a fairy tale princess! Marinda...

Sunday, October 26, 2014. Guess what we're having! Yup, Luke is going to have a baby sister! Marinda is definitely looking forward to bows, dresses and general puffiness everywhere - and actually being able to do hair! Amit gets mad whenever Marinda starts braiding Luke's hair.). Amit is.well, Amit gets to pick the name, or at least the spelling of the name, which lasts a whooooole lot longer than either of our influences on how she will dress. "Yeah right! He even wore a PINK shirt to the ultrasound!
Misra Family Hebdomadal: Did You Know Some People Eat Solids?!
http://misrafam.blogspot.com/2015/08/jacys-first-solids.html
Sunday, August 2, 2015. Did You Know Some People Eat Solids? Jacy had her first solids! Her doctor said we could start her on them anytime between now and six months, so Marinda roasted and mashed some sweet potato and let her go at it! Yes we're planning on doing baby led weaning again (with just a little spoon feeding for restaurant practice), so we just plopped it down in front of her and giggled while she mushed it a little with her fingers and then sucked the gooyness right off! SMILE at the camera!

Sunday, November 30, 2014. Prince Luke and Thanksgiving. Luke has loved being in Cleveland and had so many people adoring him. He literally has had people following him around feeding him grapes this past week. (We aren't joking.). One of Luke's favorite things about being in Cleveland is the snow. It's been pretty warm, but we did have some snow yesterday and the day before. Luke liked going outside and plowing the snow. Just look at how much he's having! Luke looooooved pretending to be a snow plow.

LDS at Sea
A collection of essays about events and personalities aboard ships of the U.S. Merchant Marine from an LDS perspective. Also, some related material after leaving the sea. Sunday, February 4, 2018. Ships That Pass In the Night. Many times aboard many ships, during long and otherwise uneventful night watches, I sailed past other vessels going in the opposite or nearly opposite direction. Except for their running lights, these other ships were often invisible in the total darkness that covered the water.
