Tuesday, 30 September 2014. A few small finishes. Its been quiet on this blog, but I do have a few small finishes to show! First up this Christmas table runner. I offered to test Aylin's new quilt pattern 'Diamonds in Diamonds'. Secondly, a little embroidered needle book as a prize for a giveaway that I held on Instagram. The embroidery and design come from Aneela Hoey's book 'Little Stitches'. This is the third needle book I have made like this and I really enjoy putting them together. After a couple of...

I thought I was going to have to use a top from another pattern and draft my own skirt. But I was lucky enough to find this McKenzie's Classic Twirly Dress pattern. I love Craftsy.com). It was fairly simple to follow. I made the 6 month size and it fit my 8 month old EXACTLY. I was actually nervous because I finished it two weeks early,.

Sunday, September 28, 2014. Craft Book Month - Quiltopedia. Today, my fingers are simply worn out. But I don't care, because I LOVE my new quilt! Yes, I did say "my quilt" because this quilt is for me. The pattern is titled "Obsession" and is found in the book " Quilt-opedia. Which is currently my favorite quilt book. I cannot believe that this quilt was made from scraps! It was fun to select and cut the fabrics squares for this quilt. Now, I wonder what project to start next. Sunday, September 14, 2014.

Friday, August 29, 2014. Finish It Friday - 100 Quilts For Kids. Today is a check in for the Purge. This week I completed 2 quilts that are on the way to MHC. As part of 100 Quilts For Kids. Quilt was made using a stack of scraps from my pink "Purge" pile. (Oops, I just noticed that a leaf fell on my quilt when I took the photo). And this simple quilt was made using floral fabrics. Since the last update, I have completed 2 scrappy house tops and am over 50% finished with my lime spiderweb blocks. 3 I don...

Thursday, 16 October 2014. Le Challenge - Mix. So many ideas swirling through my head for this challenge, but in the end I went with one of my favourite sewing mixes - Liberty, Linen and Perle Cotton thread. Yum! I envisage this as a small table topper but will gift it to a friend who loves Liberty and see what she uses it for! I am happy to say that all the fabrics used to make this were pulled out of my scrap box, so I am linking up with Scraptastic Tuesday. As well as Le Challenge. It needs a paper pi...

Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Le Challenge - Direction. The theme for this month's Le Challenge. Is "direction". My first thought was to make something using flying geese. But what to make? I was cleaning my sewing area and kept finding needles on various pieces of scraps. I also found some scraps of felt. So, I decided to make a needle book. And use a button. These books would make cute little gifts. Please check out this month's entries at Le Challenge. Monday, July 13, 2015. 3) Pink scrap color blocks. ...

Friday, November 14, 2014. Le Challenge - X. This month's Le Challenge theme is "X", the unknown. I have 2 Spoonflower samples that I thought would work great for this challenge - the mathmatical equations and the detective that solves the unknown. These samples are 8 inch square and are different materials. The Sherlock material is fine and the equations are on canvas. I knew that I wanted to keep as much of the fabric as possible as a whole piece, and not cut into it. And Whoop Whoop Friday.

Kinda Quilty: Le Challenge - Single
http://kindaquilty.blogspot.com/2015/06/le-challenge-single.html
Sunday, June 14, 2015. Le Challenge - Single. This month's Le Challenge. Theme is "single" and I found it to be quite fun. There were so many projects that I have that would fit this theme, such as single color, single designer, single block, or single orphan block. The single shape that I used was not a triangle, but a shape that Sarah Fielke. Used to create the Jazz Hands pattern. I used a cardboard template last year when I created my Jazz Hands which was pieced and quilted by hand. Such a cute mini q...

Monday, June 15, 2015. Flood Texas With Love - Block Drive. It's Design Wall Monday. And the only thing that I have been working on this past week are the scrappy blocks for Flood Texas With Love. This scrappy block pattern was designed by Cheryl Arkison. And is great for someone like me who saves every scrap. Next up, will be my blue scraps and I am really scared to start working with this color as I seem to have a lot! How did that happen! Can you make a block? Linking today to Design Wall Monday.
