INTNCE - LE Monaro: Video for you too!!
http://le-monaro.blogspot.com/2008/12/video-for-you-too.html
INTNCE - LE Monaro. Monday, December 8, 2008. Video for you too! Here is a brief video taken shortly after the previous pictures were taken. The aim of the video was to capture the sound of the car idling down the hill past the camera then take off up the road. Unfortunantly my camera went flat therefore I had to use my phones camera. At least you get to hear some idling and the take off up the road. Enjoy and stay posted for more info, pics and video. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Victorian N Scale: December 2008
http://victorian-nscale.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 24, 2008. Getting there.playing time first! I have started decalling the B class. Jeeeez it was a bit more difficult that I thought! The decals I had didnt quite match the shape of the body thus making it difficult to shape them to prototype. I managed to do my best. I started to do the pinstriping until I got a headache from all the eye straining! I gave up and packed up the B class for testing at our local model railway club. Here are some pics to keep you all happy :-). I remember ...
Victorian T gauge: Briefcase Layout v2
http://victorian-tgauge.blogspot.com/2013/03/briefcase-layout-v2.html
Friday, March 29, 2013. Grab a cuppa, sit down, get comfortable and prepare yourselves for an update! A big one at that. I have been very busy working on my new and improved Briefcase layout (yet to be named). I've chosen a small country Victorian town nestled in a valley, along a meandering river. With only a few buildings including a Pub, petrol station, railway buildings and some small homes I hope to portray some of the character of a small Victorian railway town. Using putty, I moulded the hills int...
Victorian T gauge: August 2011
http://victorian-tgauge.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Not much to say with the latest set of photos. We'll let the pictures do the talking. ENJOY! The crossing signs and telegraph pole line were constructed from scrap rail and brass shim soldered together. Pretty amazing ey? This is a good shot displaying the fenceposts as they were in 1981. They are 0.4mm thick, 2mm high and spaced 10mm apart. This is about a quarter of the layouts fencing installed so far. Another update with more progress in a couple of weeks.
Victorian T gauge: Road O'Clock!
http://victorian-tgauge.blogspot.com/2012/05/road-oclock.html
Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Quick run down on the road construction. The road shape was traced from the layout and applied to 10thou styrene then cut to shape with a scalpel. Following this a coat of Matt Humbrol enamel paint was airbrushed with a colour that accurately represented the prototype colour. This photo is a trial section experimenting with the above listed paint and using scribing to mark the white line. This proved to be quite successful. 65279;. 65279;. 65279;. 65279; So much has be...
Victorian T gauge: ORBOST!
http://victorian-tgauge.blogspot.com/2013/03/orbost.html
Thursday, March 14, 2013. It has been a number of months since our last update. In this time we have attended two model railway exhibitions where Paul has received great feedback and awards for his work. Below are some photos of the progress leading to how the layout is presented today. Here it the completed bridge awaiting placement on the layout. This photo shows the bridge (minus track and ballast) in its place on Orbost. Sweeping curve looking towards Newmerella. What can I say. WoW! Here's the view ...
Victorian T gauge: October 2012
http://victorian-tgauge.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 21, 2012. Without further adue, the star of show, the famous long trestle bridge. Consisting of a mammoth 157 piers, this monster measures 770metres in length. This converts to just over 1500mm in T gauge. Pictured below is its creator with the cut out bridge deck, displaying its length (and his height which is 6ft 2in! Below is a photo of the prototype, facing towards the Orbost terminus. Here are the raw materials (0.8mm Tee tree and sliced Bass wood) used to construct the piers.
Victorian T gauge: March 2012
http://victorian-tgauge.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 29, 2012. I apologize for the delay since our last post. Both Paul and I have been focused on other projects including 5" track expansion and spending a lot of the summertime cruising in the Monaro! Paul is still enthused as ever to see this project completed however such delays can be expected when you have a thousand interests! What can I say. Paul has an illness! The 'famous' Grandview photo! Compare this with the photo from the older post. This bridge will be very closely modeled afte...

Friday, March 29, 2013. For those who have a Facebook account I have created a Victorian T Gauge 'Page' to enable easy access to ask questions and comment about stuff that you, or we are doing. Http:/ www.facebook.com/VictorianTGauge. I have a stable internet connection now so keeping the page updated 'shouldn't' be an issue. :-). Take care and Happy Modelling. Victorian T gauge: May 2011
http://victorian-tgauge.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Paul has been living and breathing Orbost these past days. The following photo is proof of this. Just look at the amount of preparation work involved! Paul traveled to Orbost with a GPS and the Google Maps printout to mark elevations and land detail on the print for as much accuracy as possible. Note the elevation change in the MDF towards the bottom left of the photo. This displays where the highway passes and forms the edge of the layout. This was done to capture the fe...That ...
