Room 5 - Leabank School. Find out what Room 5 have been up to! Tuesday, 5 July 2016. Monday, 4 July 2016. Welcome to our first post! It has been an exciting term in Room 5. In the past couple of weeks we have focused on Matariki during our topic lessons. We enjoyed creating seven-stars-inspired pieces of art using cool-coloured dyes for the backgrounds, and neat star arrangements that we had coloured with pastels placed in the foregrounds. This picture is the piece of artwork that inspired us.

Our sessions with the Manukau Sports Team run for about 20 minutes. We are always puffed at the end! But we love it because we are moving with lots of energy and learning some important PE skills. The children in Room 5 had an exciting sunny day on Thursday 3rd November, 2016. During the first block we participated in a series of fun activities based on athletic skills.
