Wargaming from an Armchair: November 2014
http://wargamingfromanarmchair.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Wargaming from an Armchair. Sunday, November 9, 2014. Grand Duchy of Waldo first unit. I have become a fan of 40mm figures. I bought Prince August Molds, and am making armies for Charge! I also was interested in the period around the end of the 1800s and beginning of the 1900s. I bought a bunch of figures from Spencer Smith's Shiny Toy Soldier line. They require some assembly. You have to attach their right arm and the head. The variety of uniforms gives you a lot of choices. Grand Duchy of Waldo. As is ...

Musings of a Welshman: August 2011
http://musingsofawelshman.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Musings of a Welshman. My thoughts, online. Monday, 22 August 2011. And now for something completely different. Well, no posts for over two years. As I'm sure you may have surmised my 15mm Flash Gordon project now sits on a metaphorical shelf with a multitude of other ideas. I'm sure that all gamers have a similar place for their unresolved projects, mine is something like the storage room of the Ark of the Covenant from Raiders. I've been quite busy with other projects actually, Orcs in the Webbe. This ...

Musings of a Welshman: Reina Knizia's Decathlon
http://musingsofawelshman.blogspot.com/2012/08/reina-knizia-decathlon.html
Musings of a Welshman. My thoughts, online. Tuesday, 7 August 2012. It was a close run thing with only a handful of points between us as we went into the final event. I managed to win by a tiny amount but obviously I was humble in my victory as otherwise Ems would never play again ;). Given it's tiny nature (a sheet of paper and 8 D6's) and interesting fast play, Decathlon will definitely be going on more breaks/holidays with us. The rules on BGG can be found here. 10 August 2012 at 08:43. It is the high...

15MM POST-APOCALYPTIC SKIRMISH TABLETOP WARGAMING Dead City 2150 is a setting in a post apocalyptic world, where factions will fight for resources and protection from radiated wastelands. Sunday, August 23, 2009. Got some more minis from GZG and Splintered Light. Veyr happy with the quality of course. I have found the Splintered Light minis are made from a bit of a softer alloy than the GZG stuff. Left to right; SLM Dark Elf, GZG 'Firefly', GZG Ravager, SLM 'Firefly. Links to this post. 15MM POST-APOCALYPTIC SKIRMISH TABLETOP WARGAMING Dead City 2150 is a setting in a post apocalyptic world, where factions will fight for resources and protection from radiated wastelands. Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Every Post Apocalyptic game has to have mutant bugs or rats. Some sort of wildlife nasty that harasses the warriors of the wasteland. I have two squads of these on the paint table I need to get some paint on the bliters! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Gaming Terrain: Working in 6mm...
http://gamingterrain.blogspot.com/2010/03/working-in-6mm.html
A blog in which we discuss terrain and scenics as used for wargaming. Monday, March 22, 2010. My sons have discovered BattleTech. So now, amongst all the other projects, I also need to build some 6mm scale sci-fi buildings. I am tempted by some lovely resin terrain out there. I think the 28mm scale Armorcast mini-nuke plant would be brilliant for a city-sized power station. For now, I have to settle for scratch built stuff, though. Posted by J Womack, Esq. Gaming Terrain: February 2009
http://gamingterrain.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
A blog in which we discuss terrain and scenics as used for wargaming. Sunday, February 22, 2009. Photo of the Parrotman Hut. This small birdhouse made a great hut. All I did to it was to stain the raw wood, cut off the original perch and add a wooden step. Finally, I cut a conical piece of the material from underside of a pot-topper and glued it to the roof of the birdhouse. Posted by J Womack, Esq. Thursday, February 19, 2009.
