Miguel Co Illustration: October 2011
http://phillyphilippino.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 23, 2011. Here's the piece I did for Mark junior year. It's funny how I was trying to solve the problem of perspective in such a mathematical way back then. Now that I work digitally, it's more of a gut feeling. Wednesday, October 19, 2011. An interior piece for the children’s book I’m working on. I needed some reference for how to make the sparks, so I checked out my old teacher’s painting of an uppercut. http:/ www.drawger.com/tonka/? Sunday, October 16, 2011. Tuesday, October 11, 2011.

Miguel Co Illustration: Savant
http://phillyphilippino.blogspot.com/2011/10/savant.html
Sunday, October 16, 2011. Drew a face, drew a brain, then I came up with an idea. talk about working backwards. Savant-like skills may be latent in everyone and have been stimulated in people by directing low-frequency magnetic pulses into the brain's left hemisphere, which is thought to deactivate this dominant region (in at least 90% of right-handed people) and allow the less dominant right hemisphere to take over, allowing for processing of savant-like tasks"-wikipedia! Miguel Co Illustration: July 2011

Monday, July 25, 2011. Tree House (click to enlarge). Here's my tribute for The Autumn Society. I believe cartoon network is collecting art from them based on the show Adventure Time and putting it in a book. or something. I should probably read the email again haha. Saturday, July 23, 2011. Bubblegum Punk (click to enlarge). I've been a huge fan of Kick-Ass since I first saw it last year, so it's about time I did a piece based on the movie. I'm also a big fan of Hit Girl and Chloe Grace Moretz.

Miguel Co Illustration: Children's Book
http://phillyphilippino.blogspot.com/2011/09/childrens-book_15.html
Thursday, September 15, 2011. The third spread for the book. September 16, 2011 at 6:52 AM. I really dig all the texture that youre utilizing. Makes me miss when I was in high school and inked with Sakura Pigma Microns because I was COOL and the only way to really add shading I knew of at the time was to add millions of billions of tiny strokes, or dots. Its nice seeing a way more sophisticated version of that being implimented, and in color! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My Twin from Future Womb.

Saturday, March 19, 2011. This is a piece for my Personal Viewpoints class. The job was an editorial in Runners World Magazine for seasonal shoe guides, so I picked Spring. I also thought it fit with this week's Illustration Friday word. Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Original painting ("Biondinia") done by Lord Frederick Leighton. What a name! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
