Sunday, May 25, 2014. Supportless Materialism (Set It All Aflame). I have had a lot of upsets. I have many times been letdown. But somehow I keep getting up. After every fall to the ground. They say happiness is a journey. Though I'm not sure I agree. I have had many battles in my path. In the last twelve months you see. I have had parts of me broken. My esteem was broken down. Reality was stolen from me. Every time I was kicked around. If happiness were a destination. I have been headed the wrong way.

All from signals misread. There was the ever boring. One I couldn't understand. One that felt like quicksand. Some I have manipulated. Others I have elevated. I've wished against some. Others I wished I'd won. There's been passive aggressive. That I kind of held captive. Although I never realized.

Sunday, November 13, 2011. Just Like Holly Golightly. By trying so hard to prove I was free. I ended up inside a cage. And I wish I could remember me. But I can't seem to disengage. I try not to let it define me. Believing that it is impossible to. But so much of my memory. Has faded from before you. I can't keep continuing. To go around this dead course. There is need of straightening. I can't deny that I lied. Or that I didn't think it wrong. I was too quick to decide. And I knew it all along.

But it takes a lot of days to be okay. It's an event that seems to change you. In ways you never expect it to. And all the 'could have beens'. Yet they seem to cause grief. Much more often than relief. But it's not just a sad tale. When you witness the derail. And no miracle ever occurs. As if our prayers were useless slurs.
