Lea's Pen and Paper. Links, opinions, questions, and observances in the writer's life. Sunday, March 11, 2007. To me, March means sessions of creativity and new ideas. Our critique group held a writer's conference this weekend. We had around sixty in attendance, met new people, hugged old friends, and got a few new writing hints. One conference speaker challenged us to "write a story" in the hour that she spoke. She had us invent a character with a motivation, conflict, and goal. Why don't you try it?
