Our Family History: July 2015
http://jmdavisfam.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 02, 2015. The rest of June. June was a crazy month, I've just been coming up for air periodically between work, having the kids home, and church and volunteer responsibilities. The week after Kyle's birthday, he and Jason went to scout camp. It was just the two of them this year, so they picked a scout camp they hadn't been to before. He made some new friends and had fun getting his shotgun and archery merit badges, among a few others. I joined in this year for the first time. One last thi...

Hogar del Niño Orphanage. Monday, March 30, 2015. Easter Traditions for Preschoolers (and their grumpy mamas). Easter Week is here, and it's a good thing- because I have been super grumpy lately! I am looking forward to this week of fun, spring, peace, and Jesus. For a few years now I've wanted to do some simple, spiritual Easter traditions and lessons with Noah, but I just haven't found/made the time. (Plus I was pregnant and super sick last year, so I get a pass, right? Here in Twin Falls and a discuss...

Hogar del Niño Orphanage. Friday, November 14, 2014. Living Without My Eating Disorder, Narrative Therapy Part 3. And now it's time for the happy ending. Well, the happy ending that I imagine for myself. As the final assignment for my "narrative therapy," my counselor asked me to picture a future without my eating disorder in it. Who did I hope to be? How would freedom feel? What would my life of freedom look like? This is what I came up with. It is amazing to me that my life today is much closer to this.

Hogar del Niño Orphanage. Friday, February 27, 2015. My Sally Grace is seven months old. Each month brings new milestones and changes in her temperament. It is truly mind-blowing how quickly this baby girl is growing and changing! She loves being on her belly. From the time she was about five months old, she would flip onto her stomach immediately any time we set her down on the ground. She also flipped onto her stomach in her crib at night, and she is now a committed stomach sleeper. I am truly astonish...

Our Family History: September 2014

Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Kayla's volleyball season is in full swing. With my camera, I'm unable to get un-blurry pictures, but Jen and Val had a break in their own kids' sports last night, and came to watch Kayla. They got these great pictures, for which I'm so grateful! Here's Kayla, #12, coming through the tunnel at the beginning of the game, high-fiving her team and her coaches. Then wishing the other team good luck. I just love watching her play! Monday, September 08, 2014. Rachel's friend invite...

Monday, July 27, 2015. Feeling overwhelmed, less than. Yes it happened again. When I get a big calling I really try to do my best. I read the handbook. I reach out and surround myself with amazing and strong women. Then I start to doubt myself. Am I doing enough? What am I missing? Can I just back off for a while?
