Élan d'Éducation: October 2010
http://elaneducation.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 22, 2010. Pro-D Day - learning is fun! We're learning about technology in language classrooms, so I thought I'd make a little post with an embedded video. I'm excited about this modern approach, and I've got a lot more good ideas for teaching now. I have a feeling that students will be more eager to do their work if it's on a computer. Élan d'Éducation: The Joys of Digital Photo-Editing
http://elaneducation.blogspot.com/2010/09/joys-of-digital-photo-editing.html
Wednesday, September 29, 2010. The Joys of Digital Photo-Editing. For our digital photo-editing assignment, I chose this photo of a dying star as my jumping off point:. Credit goes to NASA Goddard Photo and Video. The contributors were listed as NASA, ESA and A.Zijlstra (UMIST,Manchester, UK). Here's the stable link to the photo. The first online photo editor I used was Picnik. Next, I chose Splashup. And although I found it to be a frustrating experience, the end product was pretty cool:.

Rachelle's Blog: October 2010
http://rachellefblog.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 1, 2010. While on vacation this past summer, I took this picture in Seattle at the Fish Market. I have decided to edit this photo because I have always felt that it had so much potential, but really didn't turn out like I had hoped. This school assignment worked out really well for me, not to mention that I think I learnt quite a bit. I'm learning though, and that's the main thing, right? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Élan d'Éducation: Brevity is the soul of wit
http://elaneducation.blogspot.com/2010/09/brevity-is-soul-of-wit.html
Thursday, September 16, 2010. Brevity is the soul of wit. Ever since Shakespeare breathed life into these words through his character Polonius, the world has tended to agree. Why, then, are we up in arms over the way young people write nowadays? Here are some reasons for truncated texting norms and alternative spellings that defy adult logic:. 1) There are character limits on text messages, the primary form of communication for adolescents. Next time I'll discuss the implications of "txt spk" (text speak...
