What Does Learning Different Actually Mean? There are many misconceptions about "Learning Disabilities" (LDs). They are not something a person "grows out of," they have nothing to do with a lack of "will" or effort, and there is no. Correlation with intelligence. Learning differences never mean that a child must be "slow." Some of the most brilliant men and women have LDs. Remember labels are for jars, not students!
