The Learning Library - What We Do

https://learninglibrary.org.uk/what-we-do.html

We support over 650 members, most of whom use our valuable outreach service. Members can borrow games, jigsaws, toys, musical instruments and specialist sensory equipment some of which may be beyond the reach of the average family budget. We also provide discovery boxes which contain themed items relating to particular topics and travel bags which allow members to experience different countries. All toys and equipment are checked and cleaned upon return to the library. Or via our Facebook page.

The Learning Library - How Can You Help Us?

https://learninglibrary.org.uk/how-can-you-help-us.html

How can you help us? As the Learning Library is a local registered charity we rely totally on funding to keep our valued service up and running. Our sensory and specialist equipment is extremely popular with a lot of our members however these items can be very expensive. We are also constantly looking at expanding our stock and increasing the variety of toys we loan to members. We would greatly appreciate any donations either financial or good quality toys/equipment. Make a single donation.

What a school thinks about its library is a measure of what it feels about education. 8203;- Harold Howe. Reflecting again: Risky, Messy Media. Risk taking and messy engagement. There are many ways to look at risk taking when it comes to education. We take risks as authors, as creators, when we break boundaries and escape our comfort areas. We can also take risks as educators when it comes to allowing students to follow paths that may have questionable content. Taking risks is always scary! But though I ...
