Christmas day was fun, a warmish day so the grandkids were able to be out on the trampoline alot. I made roast beef dinner because Larry was planning something special for the 27th. Jake and Heather's had to leave the next day but Rich's stayed until January 1. We went to ICE! Learning to live in Tennessee. Monday, November 10, 2008. The elec...

Learning to live in Tennessee: End of Summer 2008

http://learningtoliveintennessee.blogspot.com/2008/09/end-of-summer-2008.html

Sunday, September 21, 2008. End of Summer 2008. I hardly know how to begin this blog today. So much has happened. I will start with the most recent, more profound in the life of our Ya-Ya. Baptism here in the south is so different. It is held outside. The "tank" is a galvanized feeding trough! It has taken me so long to get use to this. I had pressed Ya-Ya before we moved South to be baptized at BAC or at Jake's church. But she apparently was not ready. There had to be 10 people baptized today. One f...

Learning to live in Tennessee: Finally

http://learningtoliveintennessee.blogspot.com/2008/11/finally.html

Monday, November 10, 2008. The election is over. The people have spoken. The Sunday after the election, churches across America prayed for the President-elect and his family and he went to the gym. It has been quite the experience to live through. Here in the USA they learn everything they never wanted to know about their candidates. In Canada on Labour Day 2008 the election was called and six weeks later, it was done, over, all tied up, everyone back to work. And one amazing friend.

Learning to live in Tennessee: December 2007

http://learningtoliveintennessee.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html

Friday, December 21, 2007. Here we are at another Christmas in Tennessee. Everything here is green and warm. How is it where you are? Winter Wonderland White, I know. I haven't blogged in ages, doing lots on Facebook, which has been fun, especially playing scrabble with Heather and Lori Ann and trying to play these video type games with the grandkids, which I am not good at! For however long He keeps us here, I intend to enjoy and discover as much as possible. Merry Christmas to all! Learning to live in ...

Learning to Live Green

Learning to Live Green. No answers here. this is a journey. Friday, October 7, 2011. Consumerism - a dud sell. Normal" in our world is to buy stuff, the latest this and the newest that - and it's respectable to be working our lives away to pay it. I've long felt a slave to this system and find it difficult to fight. But I still get caught up in buying things, having things; and having to work - as much as I hate it. Two useful articles are. 1 Anti-Consumerism is the new democracy. Yesterday was the big d...

I’m allowed to stay with Chris and Debbie, my sister drives from Texas and arrives on Tuesday. During the Monday afternoon. Visit, I find out that Chris has been having seizures. They have started him on anti-seizure medication, and I actually witness a small one with the look of panic in my brothers’ eyes. HEART BREAKING! Journey to the Proverbs 31 Woman

Journey to the Proverbs 31 Woman. Time 4 Learning Homeschool Curriculum. October 16, 2017. Last month I wrote that our family was going to try Time 4 Learning as our primary curriculum for 30 days. Well, the last 30 days have been chaotic to say the least. My husband and I had an out-of-town work trip, allergy season kicked off in such a lovely fashion, and we had a birthday to celebrate – and plan for. So, how did it go? Well, as surprised as I am to say this – it went great! As stated in the previous p...

Learning to live life fully. Most people are afraid to die because they have not live a meaningful life. Monday, May 12, 2008. The life that is you. You can choose to be happy or you can choose to be miserable. Which would you rather be? You can choose to make productive and purposeful use of the moments in this day. Or you can choose to let the time slip away and be left with nothing but regret. Life is what you decide you are going to make of it. Posted by rainbow after the rain at 5:33 PM. Today is a ...
