Called By Name | learningtotrustgod
https://learningtotrustgod.wordpress.com/2014/02/03/called-by-name
Just another WordPress.com site. I became Sister Solana, yesterday in a beautiful ceremony. This is the stage where I received my veil and will be living the vows as I prepare to take them. My brother was down from Canada. People I know since my time in Florida were also present, people from church, the prayer group, as well as families of the other sister’s. They came to support us and wish us well. Visitors flocked to see him, and this was disrupting the life at the monastery, so Fr. Casey would be...

A Lesson in Gratitude | learningtotrustgod
https://learningtotrustgod.wordpress.com/2014/01/12/a-lesson-in-gratitude
Just another WordPress.com site. A Lesson in Gratitude. I spent three days and two nights in Detroit, in an airport that was freezing. I made friends along the way, was texting and calling the sisters as well as my family, who were praying for me. It was like a dream, that was so rushed. I wondered why God let me travel at this time, if I had to not go there in the first place. Could God not have saved me the trouble, the cold, the anxiety, the exhaustion? Leave a Reply Cancel reply. learningtotreadlightly | Intentional living with intentional love
Intentional living with intentional love. Pretty Toxic by Emily. I wish I could say I am the type of girl that doesn’t care for makeup very much. I would. To be the kind of girl who wears makeup from time to time, but doesn’t use it daily. Even as a young girl, I was pulling on dress up gowns and smearing pink lipstick across my face (… not to mention the princess crown to top it off). I grew up. After an initial hesitation, I began to throw out makeup that was old and/or toxic. I began to replenish ...

Learning To Tri | Swim, Bike, Run, Eat, Sleep, Repeat
Post Race Week: What Do I Do Now? I’ll admit it: Sunday, the day after my first triathlon, I was down in the dumps. In fact, at one point, I had tears in the corners of my eyes without a real reason for them to be there. There wasn’t any real stress, I wasn’t watching The Notebook (I jest), and hadn’t had my holy-shit-tearjerker of an appointment with. Triathlon, Training, and Health Goals for 2015. Here’s the list I’m hoping to completely cross out by the time the. Yardage Is Less Than Meterage. I alway...

A Life Redeemed
Saturday, May 2, 2015. I have not done blog posts faithfully - most of my life shows up on Facebook, and my books on Goodreads. But, I thought I would publish my "What I Read In April" book reviews and try to get back in the habit. Countdown in Cairo (Russian Trilogy #3). Hostage in Havanna (Cuban Trilogy #1). Mara, Daughter of the Nile. The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert: An English Professor's Journey Into Christian Faith. The book isn't just about ministering to homosexuals, it spoke to me abo...
