Also a link from the plone blog. Posted by Laura Jaffrey. Thursday, August 2, 2007. 1 An original type, form, or instance serving as a basis or standard for later stages. The prototype took abo...

Running with Scissors: A story that needs to be told again and again
http://running-scissors.blogspot.com/2014/05/a-story-that-needs-to-be-told-again-and.html
I'm rarely allowed to be near sharp objects . Sunday, May 25, 2014. A story that needs to be told again and again. Falsettos at Villagers Theatre. NJ – May 2014. The show is closed. It was a wonderful (albeit altogether too short) run. And it is still lingering with me, not just because of the music (brilliant in my opinion) and not just because of the cast that worked on this production (even more brilliant! Who wrote Spelling Bee. A recent history too soon forgotten. And since the characters themselves...

Running with Scissors: Day 7 – a rainy day in Frederick with a little bit of walking
http://running-scissors.blogspot.com/2013/08/day-7-rainy-day-in-frederick-with.html
I'm rarely allowed to be near sharp objects . Friday, August 23, 2013. Day 7 – a rainy day in Frederick with a little bit of walking. So the day was a bit of a washout with a passing rain … we decided to change some plans as a result. A slow start to the day and then we headed back to Frederick for lunch and a little bit of a walking tour in the drizzle – and stopping in some stores as well. Lunch was, again, at Quynn’s Attic. After lunch, we ambled to the Barbara Fritchie house. Dies like a dog! Husband...

Running with Scissors: Day 6 – the Battle that saved Washington DC
http://running-scissors.blogspot.com/2013/08/day-6-battle-that-saved-washington-dc.html
I'm rarely allowed to be near sharp objects . Friday, August 23, 2013. Day 6 – the Battle that saved Washington DC. Today we stayed nearby … we had a bit of a late start to our day – but, hey! It’s our vacation so that’s perfectly fine. Near Frederick is the Monocacy National Battlefield. Which is a small national park commemorating the July 9, 1864 battle. And what was General Wallace’s other claim to fame? He wrote Ben Hur. View more photos in the Flickr set. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My gene...

Running with Scissors: Day 3 – the wander (part 2)
http://running-scissors.blogspot.com/2013/08/day-3-wander-part-2.html
I'm rarely allowed to be near sharp objects . Wednesday, August 21, 2013. Day 3 – the wander (part 2). After the Civil War Museum of Medicine, we continued our wander in Frederick. I wanted to make sure that the family got to see the Community Bridge. 8220;It’s all trompe-l'œil,” I said. 8220;Oh. Okay.” was the response. I think that they thought there would be just a few faux effects of statues or something. I knew they were in for a treat. Now … you see all that stone? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Running with Scissors: Making music with amazing artists – The World Goes ‘Round ends
http://running-scissors.blogspot.com/2013/10/making-music-with-amazing-artists-world.html
I'm rarely allowed to be near sharp objects . Monday, October 07, 2013. Making music with amazing artists – The World Goes ‘Round ends. And so my latest project comes to an end. They all end … some end more brightly than others … some end with a sigh of relief … and others end with a wish that they didn’t. What happens when there are five insanely talented actors/singers with six even more insanely talented musicians in a band? Well … THIS! And this one was a joy when we were performing. I love what I do.
