http://tarsnakes.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, 6 March 2008. Pic by Martin Owen. Lining up to board the Spirit of Tasmania in Melbourne. Thanks to Marty and Bill for the use of some of their photos in this blog. View of the Melbourne waterfront at dusk from the Spirit. Map of where we went. We disembarked the Spirit and it immediately started raining! VFR at Low Head. The afternoon run down the east coast to Swansea was great with quite a bit of sunshine and very light traffic. Below - Tony on the Buell near Bisheno. Why so happy guys?

TarSnakes: February 2008
http://tarsnakes.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, 21 February 2008. JP - Westminster and Big Ben. Tower of London - White Tower. Dusk on Oxford Street. Monday, 18 February 2008. I'm currently enjoying London's unseasonally mild weather. Trafalgar Square is the focal point for huge celebrations for Kosovo indepence, thousands are here, tooting horns and waving flags. It's been going on all day and is deafening! You can't actually walk down Downing St - let alone go past No.10. Well armed police behind the gates at the entrace to Downing St.

Sunday, 20 April 2008. Twelve Apostles Autumn Run. Marty and I took a run down to the 12 Apostles on a magnificient still Autumn day. It was all blue sky after a cool start and then warmed up to about 22C - just perfect. I will let the pictures do the talking! Hot chocolates at Gellibrand. The Gellibrand store has become a favorite stop of ours. Various shots around the Apostles. Back to Geelong via Colac - stopped for a drink in the main street. Here's Marty. Sunday, 13 April 2008. TarSnakes: Oomoo light
http://tarsnakes.blogspot.com/2011/08/oomoo-light.html
Saturday, 20 August 2011. Back in 2004 Andy devised a weekend route that was suitable for some old, old motorcycles. It came to be named the Oomoo Run, after a new release red wine that we (over) imbibed in with dinner that night. The Oomoo run was repeated again in 2005 and 2006. The shot below is a redux of a pic taken in the same spot 7 years ago, then featuring my CBR600. Beaufort is a small town on the Western Highway that most folk drive through on the way to Adelaide, the Grampians. Glad you getti...

TarSnakes: May 2008
http://tarsnakes.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Monday, 26 May 2008. I got a buzz to see my Honda was the feature photo on the US based VFR discussion website. Here is a screen shot from the website. This is the original pic with a bit of post production. Sunday, 11 May 2008. I went to see Peter the owner of Road and River. On Saturday morning for a new front tyre for the VFR. I wound up getting another Michelin Pilot Power. It turned out that I needed some new front disc pads as well, which Peter was able to do there and then for me. And I'm gonna try.

TarSnakes: October 2007
http://tarsnakes.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, 21 October 2007. Colac Otways Region; Sat 20 October. Marty and I took a ride through the Otways along part of the Great Ocean Road, then back over the ranges. It's a pretty familiar 300 km circuit to us - but nonetheless magnificient every time. The weather is always different as are the road conditions and people we meet. It was a magnificient Spring day - all blue sky and virtually no wind. Check out the tools used to make them - really interesting and creative. Saturday, 13 October 2007.

TarSnakes: November 2007
http://tarsnakes.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, 24 November 2007. Had a great day out today. Went down and voted early, fired up the Honda and headed off to Colac, collected Steve with his recently rebuilt Norton and headed towards the 12 Apostles again via the back roads through Carlisle River. We stopped in at Apostle Whey, a cheese making place just inland from the Great Ocean Road. Tasted some great cheeses and purchased some Camembert to enjoy tonight. It's springtime and the countryside just looks magnificent at present. Approaching Ap...

TarSnakes: Winter sun
http://tarsnakes.blogspot.com/2011/07/winter-sun.html
Saturday, 16 July 2011. Marty and I took a run to the 12 Apostles today. It was 6C when we left after an overnight low of 0C. It probably didn't get an warmer than 13C anywhere on our route, but we were dressed for the cold and had an enjoyable day's riding. I only took a couple of shots of the motorcycles parked in Port Campbell as I have dozens of pics of the 12 Apostles area in the camera already! It was my first time out with the new mufflers on the ZX14 and they sound great, without being too loud.

TarSnakes: Balmy winters day
http://tarsnakes.blogspot.com/2011/07/balmy-winters-day.html
Sunday, 31 July 2011. The ZX14 in front of the Forrest microbrewery. Only hot chocolate for me though! Less than 5 months till Christmas. At the West Barwon dam. Lovely spot for a BBQ or picnic, but virtually deserted today. Ford Focus turbo club gathering at Beech Forest. I stopped at Gellibrand for a drink and talked to some fellas who'd been mountain bike riding along the Old Beechy rail trail. And were absolutely coated in mud. 1 August 2011 at 2:42 pm. 1 August 2011 at 7:59 pm. Gorgeous photos Jules...

My Cubes
http://www.felipeherrera.com/cube.asp?cube=photo
The Wide and Narrow. So time goes by and my bag grows. It is actually quite heavy and full. If I want to throw something else in there, I'm going to have to drop something out. The latest two additions cover two very different photographic themes: wide-angle and macro photography. The first is a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro. And the second is the Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5. Wide or ultra wide-angle photography is a lot easier. Riding my bike along the city offers ample opportunity for panoramic shots...
