In other news, i'm still at home today because my cohort leaders are still working on finding me a mentor teacher. it looks as though i will be switched from 1/2 to 3/4. i guess that's okay. i was looking forward to all of the reading instruction i'd get to do in 1/2, though. I will be working at a Waldorf methods charter school this year - it's my first year, and the school's first year, and I'm teaching 3rd grade. As you probably know, Waldorf schools traditionally start teaching reading later than public schools do, but as we are a public school we are held to state standards and testing, and 3rd grade is a huge benchmark year!
