The Ruder the Better: August 2013
http://ruderthebetter.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
The Ruder the Better. Wednesday, August 14, 2013. Did you put that in the blog? Our summer has been tons of fun and as a result I haven't been very active on the family blog. When Tim and I swap stories at night and I tell him about all of the hilarious things our kids did all day he always asks me, "Aww, did you put that in the blog? Sullivan is definitely the comedian of the family. He is also the biggest talker. He talks all day long and asks me, "Mama, what's that? Posted by Melissa Ruder. I am a twe...

Our Adoption Story and More: August 2012
http://gibsonadoptionstory.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Our Adoption Story and More. Sunday, August 19, 2012. We've been potty training this week, it's going well! She has accidents, but I can also see her progressing. I remind her to stay dry every now and then and especially when we're out. She's pooped twice on the potty, both times without any prompting from us. She can also do somersaults on the couch as of today, too ;). Her two year molars are coming in. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Ramblings of an English Teacher. Grace for the Weary Mom.

Our Adoption Story and More: November 2011
http://gibsonadoptionstory.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Our Adoption Story and More. Saturday, November 5, 2011. He decided after coming home Friday to go back on his previous medication regimen that gave him some side effects but that did help with his alertness some. And for the first time in weeks I saw a little bit of light in his face! So while I'm praising God for the little bit of hope, I'm also thankful for the opportunity to accept God's sovereignty in my life in the midst of uncertainty. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Our Adoption Story and More: Happy Birthday Kinsey!
http://gibsonadoptionstory.blogspot.com/2012/03/happy-birthday-kinsey.html
Our Adoption Story and More. Saturday, March 24, 2012. Kinsey is 2 today! I haven't been blogging lately but I wanted to write down a few things to remember when I look back. She's nice and healthy. 80-90th percentile on height and weight, and 60th percentile for head circumference. She is using sentences now, 3-4 words. She is extremely active! The only time she sits still is during tv. Otherwise she does not stay still for more than a few seconds. Literally. She loves jumping castles! She goes lots of ...

This was given to us when B was born and is listed in several different curriculum that I am interested in. It is excellent! The Big Book of Questions and Answers. I am planning to use this like a catechism, doing two lessons/week. Navigator's Topical Memory system.

Our Adoption Story and More: July 2011
http://gibsonadoptionstory.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Our Adoption Story and More. Saturday, July 9, 2011. I'm not sure how much more I'll be blogging, but I realized I would like to keep writing about Kinsey and what we're doing because I will want to look back and read about it in the years ahead. We went to Chris' house for a Memorial Day picnic. It's always a good time going over there and feels like family. Without them we would feel a lot more lonely on the holidays! She still says that to a lot of things though, it's very cute. She also started feedi...

The Ducks: February 2012
http://rduckworth.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 4, 2012. A room for her. When you first walk in, along the wall with the open door, is this yo-yo quilt. I had a terrible time getting the yo- yos. To stay tied together, so I covered a big piece of cardboard with fabric, then spray glued the yo-yo quilt onto the fabric. Done! Her ballet clothes are stored in the drawer and a few favorite girly. Books are in the cubby. This is my favorite view! Shirts for easy baby wearing! This is the third corner, straight right of the door. (The...

Sunday, September 11, 2011. Well, as I am sure you can guess, we have been busy. This summer was a big one for us! So, anyway, our adventure brought us to Dallas. There we visited Albert's uncle, aunt and cousins,. My cousin, and her husband and kiddos. And Albert's sister. Our time there was SO encouraging. The Ducks: July 2011
http://rduckworth.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 22, 2011. Well, we've been busy again! Between blueberry picking, friends visiting, weddings, a pending road trip, a night away, a couple of dates and a couple of big birthdays coming up, it has been a packed summer! The picture above was before a wedding. The big boys were ring bearers. The groom and groomsmen were in military dress uniforms, so it was fitting for the boys to wear the groom's work uniform. Everyone got a big hit out of their flightsuits. Sword fighting on nature walks.
