52 words for snow. Thursday, August 22, 2013. On Saturday morning, I went to Pangnirtung with circuit co-counsel to begin meeting with clients and getting our cases ready for the August 19th court circuit. It was a gorgeous day. In February, when I went to Pangnirtung for the first time, I described the somewhat exhilarating Pang landing in my blog. I was really hoping to be able to experience that approach again when we arrived. August 22, 2013 at 12:52 PM. Nice shots of Pang as you landed! The gas tank...

So I should have been fine to fly to Ottawa as scheduled. But there was one sadly predictable problem. My 5:10 pm flight to Ottawa was on Canadian North. And despite the rapidly improving weather, Canadian North cancelled both of their flights for the day. Our Air Inuit plane fueling up in Kuujjuarapik. Okay well maybe not so grateful about missing ou...

We worked our way up a steep mountainside that eventually leveled off and opened up to pristine mountain fields. The sky was blue, the air was crisp and the granite peaks in the distance were covered in snow. It felt glorious. It felt like what hunting should. Sage and I were pumped! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

This meme has nothing to do with the ensuing story but it makes. Me laugh. I salute whoever made this. Allow me to the set the stage. I'm leaving the gym on my lunch break from work this past Friday and Jim calls. This is a good time for me to note that Jim normally replies "Hey Rob! Me: Uh huh. What's happening?

52 words for snow. Thursday, January 23, 2014. Update on the Bell’s Palsy. January 24, 2014 at 4:36 PM. Totally agree with your assessment of Bells Palsy. Many people think it is just a frozen face and that it is funny to look at. I experienced the stabbing pain and fatigue and sensitivity to sound. Almost 20 years later and I am still sensitive to certain pitches of sound. Glad things are looking up for you. February 4, 2014 at 3:03 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 52 words for snow. Wednesday, May 29, 2013. Second Circuit in Sanikiluaq. From April 26th until May 2nd I was in Sanikiluaq again for court. This time I got to stay in the new(ish) hotel instead of the old one with all of it's problems. The new(ish) hotel had heat in all of the rooms, working internet and a greatly reduced risk of dying in one's sleep due to carbon monoxide poisoning. Luxury! Here is a picture of the dining room in the luxurious new(ish) hotel. She said, "Really? The Sanikiluaq docket wa...

52 words for snow. Saturday, January 18, 2014. Sanikiluaq Court Circuit - January 2014 - Part 2. The entrance of the Amaulik Hotel on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. You might remember that I wrote about the old hotel almost a year ago when I went on my first Sanikiluaq circuit. Co-counsel John also wrote about the old hotel in his blog. But anyway, no worries, we knew not to close that door, and as long as it stayed open, the air would be fine. Doors were kept open. I did my best not to think about ...
