The whole area is steeped in history and has a vast array of Chateaux, all within easy reach, historic towns such as Saumur, Chinon, Fontervraud, Richelieu, Angers, to name but a few, all of which offer something different. Most of the towns in the area have markets on various days of the week, at which you can buy almost anything from a thimble to a small car!

Relax in The Loire Valley. Different people have different ways of relaxing whilst on holiday. Some like to shop and people watch, there again you could go to a concert and listen to music or watch one of the spectacular equestrian events, or just take a trip on a boat down the Loire river. Sitting in the sun in our garden with a good book and a glass of the local wine is also a very popular pastime as is walking and the odd bit of cycling for the more energetic. For most it is a mixture of them all!

Although many of our visitors prefer to wile away many of their days relaxing within the confines of the scented garden, reading and taking the occasional glass of the local wine, it is also worth venturing out as there is much to do and see within an hour, or much less, of the house.
