Monday, January 23, 2012. Olympus E-PL2 26mm f/4.5 1/2500. A good picture tells a story. This one would probably work better if you could see light glinting off the fishing line, leading to Sam's hands. Sam, searching for his hook in Holland Lake, MT, July 2011. I broke the rule of thirds on the upper horizontal line for this photo, but I think it works. Posted by Gabe and Bonnie Ledford. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View From an Irish Back Yard. Musings, thoughts and anecdotes from an Irish-American Family. More About Maryann…. August 10, 2016. You may remember that once, over eight years ago, I was a nanny. In Dublin for three children, ages 6, 3 and 1. I committed to staying six months, but only lasted six weeks, and my time spent in their home still comes to mind more often than I’d like to admit. When I left, I was angry, hurt and utterly humiliated. Continue reading →. Be who you are, be the change. My thoughts...

Treasure in Momentary Glances: Montana
http://ledford-moments.blogspot.com/2012/02/montana.html
Saturday, February 11, 2012. E-510 50mm f/16 1/50s. Lake McDonald in Glacier N.P., Montana. I think my favorite nature. Photographs are from Montana. The mountains are spectacular, the contrasts are green and blue, and the lighting is easy to get perfect. When I am in the mountains, I get impatient for Jesus' return. I so enjoy the scenery, the weather, the clear air, and the wildlife, but I want to see how the Creator sets things right. And then, the new heavens and new Earth. Olympus E-PL2 26mm f/4....

View From an Irish Back Yard. Musings, thoughts and anecdotes from an Irish-American Family. More About Maryann…. My shout out to working moms, or moms who work, or pretty much every mom I know. April 3, 2015. April 3, 2015. It’s been a good lesson in time management, patience and, above all, honesty with myself. And here’s the deal – blogging (for me), isn’t. But, writing as a job is really hard work. It takes constant practice, trial and error, and a rubbery thick skin, to maintain. Hoping to. Another ...

View From an Irish Back Yard. Musings, thoughts and anecdotes from an Irish-American Family. More About Maryann…. February 26, 2015. February 27, 2015. I’m having a stand-off with a bag of salad in my refrigerator. To redeem a “free panty” coupon, when I found myself hijacked into trying on sports bras in the dressing room, a shop assistant coaching me to “jump up and down to test the support” while I was in there. Looking at myself, I rather felt like a squeezed balloon. Be My habits aren’t. I just love...

View From an Irish Back Yard. Musings, thoughts and anecdotes from an Irish-American Family. More About Maryann…. August 5, 2015. August 5, 2015. Éamon de Valera, early St. Patrick’s Day message. My husband, Frank, has been working on a film project of late, another documentary in the same vein as the “140”. Project he did in 2010. It’s called “I Am Ireland,”. So, what is the project, exactly? Well, you can refer to Frank’s blog. What can and should Ireland be doing to hold on to her young people? But we...
