Work and cyclocross preparation have been all consuming. Last week I reached gastronomic nirvana by dipping a fried cheese curd into a vat of fondue. In that instance 2 positives equaled a big negative. I'm working on the finishing touches to my cyclocross bike. I'll post some glamor shots next week when she's all made up.

So the Red River is flooding again, this time putting the hurt on Fargo. Is anyone surprised? I'm not. The vast majority of the state lives along that river, and how many times in the last 50 years has the state's residents had to scramble to put up makeshift sandbag dikes to keep the river at bay? It's inevitable. Every dozen years or so this happens. So lets see.the state has a huge budget surplus. 2.46 billion dollars. Billion - with a B -billion. How about spend some of that money on education?

I got some tracks installed on the roof of the Scion so I could attach a rack that wasn't a pain in the ass to put on and take off. It turned out pretty slick. I had a local body shop do the dirty work since I couldn't muster up the courage to drill holes in the roof of my car. Here's a blog where some dude put them on a Prius. My very own Graham Watson. Monday, November 24, 2008. Birthing Class and Swollen Doggie. We had a fun, short visit with Auntie Alane last weekend. She helped us put plastic on our windows and came to watch my hockey game. During the week Heather and I worked on the baby room. Finally finished moving the office downstairs into the sunroom. Despite missing the last two races though, so that's pretty cool. :). Friday, June 12, 2009. Back at it again. Let's get it started.the last few months in pictures:. Auntie Alane visited us for a weekend. We went for a nice bike ride. Then Tonia, Dad, and Danette all visited over Memorial Day weekend. Tonia said the cows smelled just like Trent. Annabelle loves swinging at the park. Sometimes I want to partake in the fun as well. This week we started Annabelle on some "solid" foods. She liked that. I got a new bike as well. It's fast and light. And then me being disgusted.

USGP Planet Bike Cup. Cyclocross season is underway. Preparations are good and bad. Luck is bad. The good: I'm fit as a fiddle, training is focused and recovery is quick, file tread tires. The bad: Forgetting to preregister for elites, race cat 2/3 and starting at the back of a 90 man field, fluke mechanicals. So here we go. At least I didn't have it as bad as Jonathan Page.
