Random musings about stuff. Thursday, May 08, 2008. After consistently pouring water over nothing but plain brown soil for over a week, I was thrilled to finally see some green sprouts today. It's exciting to think that I can nourish tiny seeds into plump red serrano peppers and I'm tempted to make a correlation to all the other things in my life that strive for nourishment: relationships, passions, work. Random musings about stuff. Saturday, March 29, 2008. Pushing the right buttons. I tried to open the new Listerine bottle. I tried twisting the cap, pulling it, pushing the sides, throwing my weight into the process…. Nothing worked. This wasn't my first Listerine bottle. I've used hundreds of them before. But this one was different – they had changed the packaging. It wasn't a twist off like before. This gave me food for thought. Isn't life like that sometimes? If only life was that easy….

Leenan käsityöt ja muita väkerryksiä. Maanantai 17. elokuuta 2015. Pyykkäsin tässä joku päivä, en oikeaa pyykkiä, vaan kahvipusseja. Aikomukseni on mennä kierrätyspunontakursille, joka alkaa 22.9 Soisalo-opistossa. Laitan siitä sitten lisää kuvia, kunhan opin jotain punontajuttuja. Klipsukassin omistaja ei ollut tyytyväinen virkattuun hihnaan. Ostin askartelukulmalta nahkaiset hihnat ja vaihdoin kassiin ja laitoin myös pohjaan pahvikovekkeen. Tosiaankin, nyt se on paljon parempi. Ja sisäpuoli on tällainen.

Living in San Francisco for the past 15 years, I have had many experiences that are exotic, unusual and unique. Now that I'm leaving, I know that I will savor many memories of this city by the bay. Me, myself, and I. In the dark…. November 24, 2013 3:14 pm. It happened fast. One minute I am looking for the lentils that I will make for dinner. The next, I am in total darkness. It is a little past 6pm on Thursday night, November 21st. The darkness is furnished with a soundtrack of winds blowing between 20-30 miles an hour. I was aware of the high winds but too busy to pay much attention. Now, the sound is pervasive. As J dials the number of the electric company, there is a loud knock at the door.
