Choices, Chances, Changes. You must make a choice to take a chance or your life will never change. Last time we talked on the phone was probably christmas. I've been plagued by dreams of him every night for the past week or so. So hearing his ringtone as my morning alarm today was indeed - alarming. I took my time in returning the call. Drank some coffee, stealed my nerves. And then i called him back. Seems he's in some financial troubles. Actually - sounds like life troubles. He has a 10 month old son.

My third funeral for 2013 - i'm ready to be done attending these types of events for a while. Today's funeral was especially sad. I see people i know from school who either are celebrating their mother living. Or their mother who has passed on. No one mentions the mother like the one i have. The mother who decided to side with those who would (and did) abuse you. I know this is a part of me that has not healed. And the child in me cries. It makes me sad.

Dad in December, and Mom in April. not to mention the ever-lasting heartache that still haunts me from Mike. That's been a year and a half ago already. I'm not sure why it's so much to ask for. but really - to have someone who genuinely cared me, and what was happening in my life? That would be great. I'm tired of the posers. I miss my Dad. A lot. Looking forward to the sand between my toes.
