Primal in Birmingham: Broccoli Salad

http://www.leesajernigan.blogspot.com/2012/09/broccoli-salad.html

Monday, September 24, 2012. The thing that I struggle with the most, in regards to cooking, are side dishes. I think it's because I am not very picky and I really love simple veggies. I am completely satisfied with sauteed mixed veggies, or roasted veggies; However, I decided to try something new and perk up my favorite roasted broccoli dish. 1 lb broccoli florets (not frozen). 2 Tbsp olive oil. 3/4 cup slivered almonds. 1/3 cup unsweetened, dried, cranberries. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. I am just a B'...

Primal in Birmingham: Pumpkin Granola

http://www.leesajernigan.blogspot.com/2012/10/pumpkin-granola.html

Friday, October 5, 2012. If I have said it once, I have said it a thousand times. I MISS CEREAL! Pre-paleo, I could have literally eaten cereal for every meal. My favorites were Grape Nuts, Frosted Flakes, Lucky Charms, Honey-O's, and Honey Nut Cherios. YUM! My favorite part of it all was getting to the sweet milk once I had eaten all the cereal. And, well, its October. So you should eat pumpkin every week! You can store the granola in an airtight container and it should for 7 - 10 days. Pinch of sea salt.

Primal in Birmingham: Cinnamon Crusted Chops

http://www.leesajernigan.blogspot.com/2012/09/cinnamon-crusted-chops.html

Monday, September 24, 2012. This is another recipe from way-back-when. That I have attempted (successfully! To spruce up a bit. I will still say that the combination of pork and apples is still so strange to me. Apparently many others have paired these two foods together - for a long time. I still think its weird, but I am a believer! This new and improved recipe is amazing! The pork is seasoned with lots of cinnamon and it will melt in your mouth. 4 bone-in pork chops. 3 apples. Gala work great! I am ju...

Primal in Birmingham: Banana Pancakes

http://www.leesajernigan.blogspot.com/2012/01/banana-pancakes.html

Monday, January 23, 2012. This past weekend, Adam mentioned eating banana pancakes for breakfast a couple times. We used to get them from The Original Pancake House, but they are not Paleo in the least. So, i made my own! Adam and I both really liked them. We also had some bacon, but I ate all of mine before I remembered to take a picture :-). 8226; 3 eggs. 8226; 1 cup almond flour. 8226; 1 tsp cinnamon. 8226; 1 tsp vanilla extract. 8226; 1/2 large banana, chopped. 8226; drizzle of pure maple syrup.

everyday amy: January 2012

http://everydayamy.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, January 29, 2012. So Greg's mom had been in town a lot over the last 2 months, mostly helping Greg's sister update and decorate their house before their 3rd baby is due in February. She helped completely remodel both the kids' bedrooms, the master bedroom, the den, bathrooms.yep, the whole house got a MAJOR make-over! And first thing Saturday morning, we were painting! We had already taken the cabinet doors off when we took this pic. And here are the doors. Greg was a big help too, even though he...

Sweet Potato Brownies – PaleOMG – Paleo Recipes. Real Food. Real Life. Real Simple. February 6, 2012. But the weekend still turned out pretty fun. Laura, Sergio and I played the 3 best friends card and did everything together. We went to breakfast together, went grocery shopping together, then helped each other pick out outfits. Well Sergio sat there and rolled his eyes as I took 12 shirts out of my closet. I hate dressing up. My PaleOMG shirts. Guess what else I did this weekend? Sh*t yeah you do. I&#82...

Saturday, November 26, 2011. A happy turkey weekend. Pictures, pictures, pictures! Wednesday evening after Thanksgiving dinner #1, we headed off to Greensboro, GA to Greg's parents house. They live on Lake Oconee and have a beautiful home! There were so many people at their Thanksgiving gathering. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, 6 cousins, and of course our family. Mama and Dwayne :). Happy Thanksgiving, hubs! Check out this turkey! There was so much turkey, but we gobbled. It was sooo much fun! I don't kno...

everyday amy: DIY Patchwork Letters

http://everydayamy.blogspot.com/2012/11/diy-patchwork-letters.html

Tuesday, November 6, 2012. For baby Hudson, I wanted to make something I could use for party decor but that could also be used in his nursery at home. I found a tutorial for making fabric covered letters and since I had a bunch of fabric I was using anyways (for the caramel party favors), I thought this would be the perfect thing. Then I started at one corner, applied a layer of Mod-Podge, then stuck my fabric down. I continued to work my way around the edges layering the patterns. On corners it ...Secre...

everyday amy: Where have I been???

http://everydayamy.blogspot.com/2012/11/where-have-i-been.html

Thursday, November 29, 2012. Where have I been? Yikes, I realize it's been way too long since I've written a post. But considering the last time I wrote, I knocked out around 5-6 posts in about 24 hours. And I DID say I was taking a break, right? It really wasn't intentional to take this long of a break though, I promise! I'm on hiatus temporarily :(. In the meantime, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around the Boggs' home, so I can't wait to post a little house tour of our decor!

Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Another niece on the way! It's time, it's time! Baby Cate is finally going to make her arrival tomorrow! I'm so excited to meet her! I had to work all last weekend, and although I'm anxious to meet my newest niece, I was afraid she would come over the weekend when I'd be stuck at work. Well, I'm scheduled to work tomorrow also but thanks to a dear fellow nurse, I will get to leave at 4pm. Thank you so much Sara! I can't believe she's finally going to be here! We are all read...

Thursday, September 27, 2012. Back in Bama country. Our buddy Michael came by to hang out for a bit too! We headed to the game, but actually didn't get to sit with Greg's parents. They were in their season pass seats somewhere along the 40 yard line, about 35 rows up (I think). And we were actually in some upper level seats right next to the press boxes (underneath "the Zone," if you know where that is! I was just happy to the in the shade! Wednesday, September 19, 2012. They weren't lost after all.

Sunday, October 30, 2011. Honeymoon time - Day 3. Day 3 of our honeymoon began with a trip to the Nassau Straw Market. It's a street market (picture the scene from the Disney movie Aladin. Where Jasmine walks through the market in disguise."purses for the pretty lady.jewelry, bags, hats.come take a look pretty lady.") Yep,it's just like that. It was fun, and I walked away with a straw hat (of course! And a fake Coach duffel bag. hehe. Oh, and we stopped at Senior Frog for lunch. Saturday, October 29, 2011.

Tuesday, September 27, 2011. And living under 1 roof, we decided to go for it. And with his house only half occupied at the moment it really was the best time. Friday, September 16, 2011. Fun in the bluegrass state. Update: Finally got some pictures uploaded! Well, we didn't listen to any bluegrass on our trip to Kentucky. But we passed by Dino World, a llama farm, and some kind of cave adventures. That's Kentucky, for ya ;). Me and Dana at the rehearsal dinner. Friday, September 9, 2011. I'll be sure to...

Sunday, October 28, 2012. Greg's grandparents, Mimi and Daddy Bob, live on Cedar Mountain outside of Brevard, N.C. After exploring the city of Brevard during the day, we went to their house for the evening to enjoy some visiting time and a delicious home-cooked dinner! After being in Charleston for several days, then Charlotte one night, and having to eat out for every meal during our vacation, it was so good to have a yummy home-cooked meal :). We loved our time in the mountains! And so we conclude our ...

The Journey of Endurance | In the midst of the storm, there is One who is your peace.

The Journey of Endurance. In the midst of the storm, there is One who is your peace. December 17, 2014. So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret,. And saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their. Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat. At Your word I will. Lately, it...
